We Love Tacos & Tequila

Agree with the other reviews, Lousy service, average food with no extras (taco’s just popped on a plate), WAY TOO SLOW, expensive Tequila. Just a bizarre experience overall — go to Chic Bonita instead!

Do not ever go to this place! The food is terrible, the service is terrible, and there is no polite word to describe the manager, Daniel. They’re short staffed, and the waitresses barely speak English. The food took so long to come out, and when it did, it was terrible. The drinks were overpriced and average at best.
One of the party ordered a coke, which we then saw being made. It was just a can of coke, poured over a glass of ice. We were shocked that when the bill came, it was seven dollars! Seven dollars for a can of coke? Are you kidding me? We were sat there for almost twenty minutes for our cocktails to arrive, and even longer for the food.
When our food FINALLY arrived, it was cold, stale and the tacos were soggy, like they had been microwaved. We could barely eat them, and I wish we had never tried. My girlfriend was sick that night, almost on the verge of going to hospital, and I didn’t feel fantastic either.
On our way out, Daniel demanded that we payed for everything, as it had reached the table. Easily the most arrogant, stuck up man I’ve ever met. Refused to apologise, or offer any sort of compensation. He actually tried to blame US, and said their was nothing wrong with the food, and that we were lying. Great customer service. The food was over priced anyway, but it looked and tasted like it was cooked by a drunk four year old. On a side note, we met one of his former employees out one night, who proceeded to tell us that he owed her over $ 400 in wages, and refused to pay her.
To sum it up, unless you want terrible service (from staff who dont speak English) terrible food, to give your money to a total tosser, food poisoning, and possibly a trip to the hospital, DO NOT GO THERE!
Will be surprised if this place is open within a month.

This so called ‘restaurant’ has been open for less than a week, and based on our groups experience, they may not be open for much longer! Here’s a run down of our dismal night!
We arrived and found a table; it took about 20 minutes before our entrée (drinks, chips and dips) order was taken, and it took 30 minutes before these arrived! Worried our main meals would suffer the same fate (read: delay), we ordered immediately… However, we had to follow up on the order after about 30 minutes and received no response from the waitress! After a further 15 minutes, the first of the orders arrived (only 1 of the party); another 2 of our party got their order 10 minutes later!
So breaking it down — We gave up and walked out after an hour and a half, as only half our of mains had arrived; where in most cases the taco’s were cold and the ‘soft’ tortillas were stale around the edges, like they had been ready for a while!
After voicing our disappointment with the Manager; we advised we were happy to pay for our drinks and entrees (read: what we felt was reasonable). We received a blunt response, an air of arrogance and absolutely no form of an apology, before receiving a demand that we pay for EVERYTHING that was delivered to the table and even those plates that were on the pass.
Working in retail and retail management for over 10 years, I’m aware there are certain ways of dealing with customers; however this was the WORST customer service experience I have EVER had! I would also have to say this is the WORST food experience EVER (excluding receiving food poisoning); usually you might have bad food, bad customer service or bad ambience; but in this case we got a full house.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat in Manly, choose another place from the extensive list of options. You can get better food and service for your money elsewhere.
