Very cool paper shop — sounds weird doesn’t it? A shop dedicated to paper — but it is not just ordinary paper, it is paper vitale. With features and designs really great for invitations and fancy letter writing. In todays competitive age, it’s important to make a statement and have a logo — even in the age of electronic communication it is such a pleasant surprise to receive a hand written letter and on beautiful paper. Here it is stocked from all over the world, Japan, Nepal and India. There is a bookbinding service available and a large range of wrapping paper and A4 card. Also available are many tools for papercraft — like twilling or découpage. There is also a lovely range of ribbons, boxs and bags for gifts. An all round lovely place to be.

Amazing Paper — a shop that needs little further description. It sells a huge variety of paper — hand marbled, oriental, Western and exotic prints on thick sheets of glorious paper. This is the type of shop to inspire you; creativity exudes from the walls and the owners, who are happy to help. A great place to buy gifts, wrapping paper, cards, diaries, art and craft supplies, invitations, ribbon and all manner of wonderful stationary. DIY invitations, bookbinding and more mean that amazing paper has got all of your papery needs sorted.

Paper is amazing. If you don’t believe me, pop into this Enmore store and I guarantee you’ll walk out a convert. I’ve picked up a bunch of awesome pieces from here, most of which end up gathering dust in a drawer somewhere, but that’s not the point… You’ll find all sorts of stationery goodness on the Amazing Paper shelves, from invitations and envelopes to guest books and ribbons. You can even make your own papery delights at home after picking up a book on paper-cutting or origami. There’s a great range of imported paper here, scoured from places such as Thailand, Nepal and India. Yes, I am a geek and get a little too excited by sheets of beautiful paper(hey, I recycle, it evens out). But if you do too you should definitely take a wander down Enmore Road and let loose in this paper heaven.

I go a bit weak at the knees at Chiyogami papers — Japanese handblocked decorative papers/works-of-art that I’m constantly looking to find more things to do with. Cards and bookmarks are easy options, I’m thinking something more ambitious — covering the Opera House in some in a Christo-eat-your-heart-out statement piece? Using it as wallpaper in a Jung-inspired trance-room? I know where to get it from when I decide on my masterpiece though, this lovely little store in Enmore. Specialising in supplying and creating invitations they have a huge range of all kinds of papercraft delights, from wax seals to sheets of elephant paper made out of 80% dung, 20% rice paddy stubble. And it’s acid free to boot. If you know a bridezilla with eco-stormtrooper tendencies, here, I’ve solved your problem. I was in a hurry today, so just had a little look round, picked up a flyer for bookbinding classes, bought a pack of decorative paper offcuts(a bargain and great for kids or the indecisive) and enjoyed the classical guitar music that spilled out of the store onto the pavement from the speaker outside.
