We had a reasonably early flight and we didn’t want to get caught up in the airport traffic so we decided to have breakfast at the airport. We had previously had meals here the breakfast was bacon, eggs and tomato. The food was reasonable for an airport. The coffees were OK. All in all a reasonable effort but at airport prices.

Had a quick breakfast at Bar Roma waiting for my Qantas flight. I had the all-day breakfast with«brown» toast. I had no idea what brown toast was but I figured I’d try it. After having it, I think it’s some type of wheat. Also comes with fried eggs and bacon and some tomatoes. All was nicely prepared and fine taste. The espresso was good with nice crema and enough strength. Service was fast and reasonable for a place that you order at the counter. In all, it was a nice reliable breakfast.

As far as airport cafes go, Bar Roma is relatively reasonably priced. They have a bar/café one end and juice bar the other– the juice bar has great toasted sandwiches, including amazingly an avocado, cheese & tomato toastie. I’m sick of people pre-making their toasties & offering to remove the ham if you’re just after cheese & tomato! *NB-they did this up the café end before sending me to the juice bar. Nice friendly staff, clean, big screen TVs– all pretty standard airport fair but definitely the best of the very few options in the Qantas terminal.
