The Coffee Club

Coffee was up to my fairly high standard. Breakfast was outstanding for a café. I had a breakfast muffin which was kind of like eggs benedict with a lid and a few extras. My baby bro had a ham & cheese croissant, which also looked amazing. Maybe it was because I did the red eye from Perth, but I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Large, spacious area with some stools, tables, and couches for sitting. Good for ordering some breakfast or lunch before heading through security. Lot of options on the menu and right near the check-​in counters.
(You can get coffees, juices, smoothies, milkshakes, omelettes, burgers, salad, pastries etc)

This place used to be where the Montreux Jazz Café used to be. Would have preferred the old place because there was nice live music sometimes playing at nights.
The food is ok-​priced as long as you stick to the posted specials, and as expected for airport pricing (convenience, and probably the rent). The drinks selection is also decent too (note this place also has a liquor licence too, like the previous occupant did).
Also this place uses the free wifi from the main airport terminal, and has some power points (if you sit in the right spot) for recharging. A must for any airport business (PS — thanks for nothing LAX).
Very handy alternative pre-​customs (particularly if you don’t have lounge access or spending time with other non-​travellers before heading in to the gate/​waiting area).
