I have been to Lloyd brothers winery some many times! It’s so beautiful, it’s a great cellar door… Very relaxing, amazing views. The olive oil products they produce are a reasonable price. We have taken family here quite a few times, tasting platers are about $ 5 per person breads, olive oil, pâté and olives(great value for money) They also have a separate cellar door for their cleanskin discounted wine buy in bulk(same location just ask)

Lloyd Brother’s Wine and Olive Company is on my list of places to take family that visit me in Adelaide. There are a number of reasons this place has become one of my go-to wineries. But I will narrow it down to 3 reasons. 1 — The outdoor area. There is plenty of space on the lawn to have a picnic, and the vibe is a nice relaxed one. There is often a dog that runs around and there are some games/balls you can play with. The staff here will set you up with some delicious snacks and of course a glass of wine of your choice. The view from your picnic area will be serene with little ponds and vineyards across the area. 2– The Friendly staff. The staff here know a lot about their wines and the area. They have guided myself and my guests through the wines with many humorous anecdotes and facts about the wines. You can try the wines for free, or pay $ 10 for a wine and food tasting(this is redeemable if you buy 6+ bottles of wine. which you will probably want to). 3. The OLIVES. Who doesn’t love olives. I guess some people. Anyway those people ignore this. The olives here come in a number of different styles, and the staff will match them to the wines that you are drinking/trying. I for one love the chilli olives, which come in a range of heat levels. Seriously I can’t stress enough asking to try the olives and match them with their wines. There is nothing better than needing a reason to eat olives, ie. to match your wine, and then I guess you will need to drink wine when you eat olives. That’s my kind of vicious cycle. bonus reason. The white shiraz. just yum.

One of my favourite wineries in McLaren Vale, if I am ever in the vale for a road trip or visiting other wineries, I make a point to call in here, the view is spectacular(with a pond) and the wine and food is even better. If they have any left try and buy the White Shiraz, I try to get a few of these every year as it changes so much each time, every time in every variation it’s always good but surprisingly different. They also sell olives they grow locally here as well as many other products they produce. Lloyd Brothers needs to be a must-do for everyone at least once, but you will be back for sure, I haven’t had a bad wine or experience here yet and the food platters they do at lunch are great with a glass(bottle) of wine while you look out over the grounds from the indoor or outdoor seating.
