Food at this place is excellent and the chef works really really hard. It’s a tiny place and the concept is kind of weird, sitting basically in the kitchen is where you’ll be eating. However, it gets a 3 star rating from me because of the attitudes of the waitress… Absolutely no customer service and walks around looking super depressed… Not one smile was given and she wasn’t friendly at all. Please do something about this so customers can enjoy this place 100% P. s. This is the one on hardware lane

Small brunch place on Hardware lane. The seats are a little cramped as you’re sitting a foot away from the kitchen(same room) but the food is decent and reminiscent of NYC style brunch food. The healthy options are limited and food is a little greasy but overall it’s decent. Order the shakshuka if you don’t feel like eating a bagel!

Well, here is an interesting little place. Okay, on the face of it it seems like your ordinary bagel shop that makes a pretty decent sized(and quite delicious) pancake stack, but what stood out to me was that the kitchen and the dining area are in the same room(something that you rarely, if ever, see in any restaurants in Australia — the kitchen, and the cooks, are always hidden somewhere out the back). They also have this massive bench that you sit around(or along one side because it is a pretty small place and you don’t want to get in the way of the cook). The staff were bad either, though I have to admit that my one gripe was that the tea was a bit too strong for my liking.

Wow! The Cubano sandwich is the best thing I ate during my stay in Melbourne. The flavours were amazing. The bread was delicious. The overall sandwich… speechless. Coffee great and service very friendly.

Walked into this bustling local café. Has sit down right in the heart of the coffee-making/kitchen. The service received was quite good and the ambience was very nice. Ordered the turkey club sandwich and while all the elements of the sandwich were good such as the turkey nice and juicy, the tomato, lettuce, swiss cheese all fresh and bacon cooked to perfection there was no special flavours in this sandwich. Also got a side of mac and cheese which tasted excellent and the texture soft and creamy which is how mac and cheese should be and a pickle to go along. However the pretzels didn’t really suit the dish. For $ 16 the food was excellent as my friend also got a Southern Shrimp roll however probably would come back but not in a hurry as the food didn’t quite blow us away. Nonetheless good food and definitely if in the area recommend.

Love it here! The staff are still friendly and not in a forced way, I kept bopping with the music, it’s simply cool laid back and awesome. I had the wagyu sandwich and boy oh boy it was amazeballs. Even though I had to have mine well done, it was still delicious. All the beefy, cheesy goodness encased in a brioche toast. It was extremely satisfying and filling. I think I waddled back to work with a food coma. I thought I’d be healthy and got the salad that comes with it. The salad was fresh and really hits the spot– zucchini, tomato, haloumi, mozzarella and basil. Yum. The cold press apple juice is supremely refreshing on a hot day and it cuts through some of the greasiness of the food. A big thumbs up from me!

Nice little american style diner fare. Good coffee and even better service. Located in the old«brothl» restaurant, opposite hardware society this little gem is often missed compared to its very popular neighbor. But give it a go, its worth a try
