I am a rabid consumer of Japanese cuisine and tend to know where the best ones are around the Gold Coast so I was surprised when my friend and I came upon this one after our gym session. To be fair, it is right next to the 7⁄11 fuel station off Bermuda Street so it isn’t usually a place you’d think to look for a proper restaurant… Obviously it showed me!
Although small Sasuke has some pretty terrific food for inexpensive prices and the service is prompt and friendly, the menu is also extensive and contains both traditional and more Western-​style Japanese dishes. I opted for beef tatake and my friend had the Japanese curry with Kaarage and we were both delighted with the taste, portion size and overall presentation of the food.
Will definitely remember to come back here though it does lose points for the location… Not the nicest place to come for lunch or dinner as there is no view and lots of car fumes if you sit outside.
