Great family run business in a great location. Meals are good, coffee is good and the cake/sweets are amazing. If you are in the Swan Valley for the day this is one of the must-try eateries Make sure you book as it fills up quickly on weekends.

Had been looking forward to coming here for brunch for ages and was very disappointed. Wouldn’t seat us inside despite open tables that were not reserved, our baby and ominous weather outside. Arrived 10 minutes before 1130(i.e. End of breakfast), stood in line for the best part of that 10 mins, as they brought out breakfast dishes from the kitchen, and then they wouldn’t serve us breakfast. Very disappointing

Child friendly café that doesn’t deliver on quality. Brought my 2 children to this café & was greeted by a very friendly staff who suggested nice outdoor seating & would bring us menus. The seating outside was not good. Clearly the wait staff do not clean the tables beyond removing the plates & cutlery. My first table was wet with food left on it & my second also had food but less. After a few minutes waiting I went in to get the menus myself & ordered breakfast. Pancakes for the ladies in my life & carnivore big breakfast for myself. The girls loved the pancakes but my food was cold with only 1 rasher of bacon. This experience plus the red dirt and time to travel there — left a sour taste in my mouth which wasn’t the cold beans. I doubt I’ll return willingly.

I love this place, the food is delicious, the atmosphere and décor is very cool and the staff are super friendly! However, today(last Sunday) we arrived a little later than our friends and there was ALOT of people there by the time we sat down. We ordered our coffees and breakfast. My husband ordered the Carnivore and I ordered the Eggs Fabulousa(salmon on a potato rosti w/spinach). We received the food before our coffees and it was within a very reasonable time especially considering how packed it was. It was delicious despite the fact that the rosti was really just a boiled potato. However, we finished our meals and our coffees had STILL not arrived. I asked the girl about it and she went away to find out(the poor love was run off her feet — surely when you’re ALWAYS that packed on a Sunday, management would think to hire more staff???). She came back with an answer of ‘sorry all I can say is theres a delay’ We had well and truly finished but stayed for another 20 minutes and chatted, our plates were still there so I grabbed them and took them to the girl, then lined up to ask for my money back!(Yep it got to that point). Nearly there, finally our coffees! The guy was apologetic and the coffee was yummy(may have been coz I was going through withdrawals by this time). Sorry this was a long review but seriously dudes! Maybe get a few more staff involved on a Sunday morning??? Everyone knows how great this place is, you don’t wanna lose customers just coz they are pissed off about waiting too long.

Ok just another quick update. They serve the most wonderful almond milk Cappuccinos here. Also the breakfast are THE best. Just remember though they serve breaky only till 11:30. Lastly please don’t go here and eat all the gluten free brownies because they are out if this world the best ever, cause I will be super mad. Just kidding. But not really. Don’t.

This is my MUSTVISIT place when I come to Perth. I always insist that we come here for breakfast or lunch. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the décor is rustic, comfortable and delightfully mismatched. Tea is served in beautiful cups and saucers. The selection of cakes is to die for, always freshly made on site. The produce used is always of great quality, they use free range eggs and have a good selection of lactose free, gluten free and vegan items. Specials are truly seasonal and change daily depending on available produce and are always interesting. The attached gallery displays the lovely lino cut prints by Jude Taylor. Very child friendly, there is a sandpit for them to play in. A very friendly dog greets you on arrival!

I had breakfast here on Friday. The food was excellent, good value for money. Unfortunately there was a big delay getting our coffees(they came after the meal was finished) and mine was bitter and too weak. Good place to take family or friends.

Charming place but rather disorganised when it comes to paying. We were there for afternoon tea(fixed price of $ 25 per head) with a group of 16. We had booked for 18 and added a further person to the list that morning who we were told couldn’t be catered for at that late stage. However, when it came to paying, we were told we had to pay for nineteen!!! To add to that, they also wanted extra for an orange juice someone had instead of tea or coffee. Goodness there are many people who don’t drink tea/coffee so surely they shouldn’t have to pay extra!!! In the end they did waive the payment for the orange juice. All in all, although the food was nice, thank goodness there were only 16 of us as there wouldn’t have been enough to go round 19. Would I go there again? Probably not! Just really wasn’t worth $ 475.00

Ate breakfast here with a large group(20 or so) before a Sunday ride. It’s a naturally beautiful place and has a quite relaxed atmosphere when not busy. Plenty of capacity both inside and out. I had the Italian eggs featuring sausage and feta in a base of scrambled eggs with sourdough toast. Very nice indeed. Unfortunately not a great experience though overall. Ordered a simple meal from the menu and a coffee about five minutes after the rest of the group. Everyone else was well and truly finished and ready to leave by the time I received my order. This was after following up three times. I think this place would be lovely on a weekday when not so busy. I can see how people would speak positively of the place but I am reviewing based on my experience on the day.

Such a unique place. Rustic charm with kitsch aesthetics. Great food and beverages at fair prices. The staff all seem very friendly and helpful, the food quality and portions were excellent and the cappuccino I had was superb. The artwork and sculptures around the place really add to the charm. Lovely!

I love everything about this place, I just wish it wasn’t so far from my house! Gorgeous scenery and funky atmosphere with very friendly staff that are always happy to help. I’ve been here 3 times and I’ve always enjoyed myself and never had a bad meal. I had the most delicious and fresh bacon, fried egg, cheese and relish panini — for something so simple it was heaven! Also the bottled organic juices are delicious. It’s also in the Entertainment Book so we got $ 10 off our meal, can’t go wrong with that! Definitely recommend.

I have been here twice. The first time I was intrigued by its character, warmed by its quality hot coffee and impressed by all their gluten free selections. I returned for a meal with the in-laws and we were served luke warm soup and the Boy’s vegan burger was crumbly and dry. THe coffee was still amazing. I guess I need to return one more time to place my judgement on this joint…

Very relaxed environment with wholesome food. We love going here and it has become a great place for us to have long lunches or morning teas… being that they open their doors at 7am it’s really, never to early to get a coffee there! If their signs are anything to go by, the reason why I love their coffee is because they use Dar Star coffee beans — my absolute favourite ground.

Loved my visit to this friendly restaurant.:-) *The staff made us feel so very welcome. *The staff are all chirpy and happy. *The food is pretty lovely, they do fabulous breakfasts. *Service was good *Priced okay *Child friendly *Lovely surroundings, quaint and made me feel like i was in a farmhouse, very country style, so refreshing! Well done guys you have ticked all my boxes! It is so nice to sit outside and escape to lovely relaxation from the sometimes hectic week, in the pretty gardens. Surrounded by trees and sweet smelling flowers. Ah life is good! The coffee is yum and OMG wait until you see the gluten free cakes, YES! So they cater for special diets, pretty considerate i think! Kid friendly too, there is a sand pit to keep the youngsters amused. Great place to sit and enjoy a get together with family and friends. Shhhhhhhhh! Don’t tell the boys! Lady’s if you get bored there is a little shop we can wonder through. Of course we all love shopping, lol! Worth a visit, remember to book! If your visit is for lunch its BYO. See you there! ;-)

Taylor’s is a place I’d bring an overseas visitor for a delicious brunch and a side of native and historic scenery. It’s one part café and one part Art gallery and shop and is my favourite spot in the Swan Valley. Firstly its peaceful setting is quintessentially ‘Perth Hills’. The café is part set into a rustic old wrought Iron shed, with chunky wooden tables and oxidized vintage metal works and contraptions strewn throughout. The outdoor dining is set under shady gum trees on red dirt and honkey nuts; it’s very«Burke’s Backyard». The food is of organic whole foods; breakfast, lunch and gorgeous cakes. They have their own vegetable garden and make use of low-mileage, free-range produce where possible. Taylor’s also produces some of the most beautiful prints and artworks. Jude Taylor; owner and artist, is known for her signature prints that capture iconic Australian flora like Eucalypts and Wattles and reproduce them in graphic, vibrant prints. Tea towels, robes, cushion covers or a wall-hanging; all would make fabulous gifts for foreign visitors.

Taylor’s Art and Coffee House is an interesting establishment in the Swan Valley, with a rustic charm that makes you feel you are sitting in the midst of a ramshackle farm. Taylor’s combines café with art displays, and there is a separate area to view [and purchase] art pieces from local artists. The coffee at Taylor’s is excellent, with a great balance between the elements. The food is on the pricey side, but it is done very well. Taylor’s has a beautiful ambiance to the surroundings, and it is a great place to while away a lazy weekend.
