The only thing wrong with Dan Dans is that it isn’t located out on one of the trendy street strips in Moonee Ponds where you could sit alfresco and watch the world go by. Oh — and the daggy name!
But I guess every good shopping centre relies on great independent cafes, and people like me with kids rely on the convenience they provide when out doing the weekly grocery shop!
Dan Dans is different from the greasy, stale fried foods you sometimes find from shopping centre take out places. With a predominantly Middle Eastern focus on flavours and also with some traditional dishes; Dan Dans offers something unique and quite gourmet.
The lamb with tzatziki is awesome if you’re super hungry, or if you’re after a lunch or snack the made to order focaccia’s and rolls are beautiful and really hit the spot.
A great place to stop and regain your momentum.
