I cannot speak for the food as I’ve never eaten at Lemon Soul so this review is purely for the coffee. Lemon Soul is one of the few places that you can get a coffee after 5pm &7 days a week in Moonee Ponds, my expereince in recent weeks has been of greatly varying quality of coffee. Yesterday was an example of one of the worst coffees I’ve ever had as it was beyond bitter and the takeaway cup had coffee spilt down the side. I came very close to returning & asking for another one to be made. In the end I simply ended up throwing away ¾ of the cup as for me it was undrinkable. The quality of the coffee might explain why Lemon Soul is one of cheapest places to get a coffee in Moonee Ponds. After this experinece I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon. well at least not for coffee!!!

Average rating. The food was ok, and reasonably priced. The meal was smaller than expected but still filling. Service was fast, but we were there before the lunchtime rush. The bonus is the all day breakfast — in fact, all items seem to be available at any time. The real shock was when we entered I asked a staff member if we wait for seating or pick somewhere ourselves. He shrugged and walked off. So there’s that.

This place is awful! Do not waste your time or money here. The worst service, my coffee was burnt and food looked like slop on a plate. Honestly nothing positive to write about.

This is the place people go to when Lil Kitch is full and they don’t want to wait 20 minutes for a table. My advice, wait the 20 minutes! Terrible service and average food.

I think compared to the WOW factor the name, design and décor of this café represents, the quality of the food and service is pretty poor. I think that’s the biggest disappointment about this place, it just doesn’t live up to the expectations you may have. Particularly as its located along the busy Puckle st dining and shopping strip, you come to expect good food and great service where ever you go. But the staff always seem either too busy, too rude or too shit scared to make a mistake to pay you much attention. The food is ok, and there’s a wide variety of International cuisine. Focaccia’s are fairly good, but if you’re looking for a café where the food, service and ambience match the quality of the décor there are like 100 better places than this on the same street.
