History

Established in 1983.

ESL Lock Professionals was originally established by Bob Gilmore in 1983 under the name of Eastern Suburbs Locksmiths and he opened his first shop in Morningside in 1985. By 1988 Bob expanded further, opening Ipswich City Locksmiths at the top end of town in Brisbane Street and in 1994, Ipswich City Locksmiths relocated to its present location opposite Coles on Brisbane Street. Beenleigh Locksmiths was then added to the group in 1991. Since it’s commencement 30 years ago ESL has grown to become one of the leading locksmith service

companies in southeast Queensland. ESL’s ongoing commitment to produce highly skilled trades people has been rewarded with entrants and finalists in the Queensland Apprentice of the Year and an Australasian Apprentice of the Year Awards.
