Disappointed traveled across town to try this place out on a Saturday afternoon walked in only to be asked to leave as they were busy catering for a festival

Finally thought to give this a place a try after walking past it for years. Can’t see why it’s a pop up now… still the same place with a new menu, really. Next time I might just keep walking. The American style burger concept is good, and toppings on my pesto burger were fresh and tasty, but the tightly packed beef patty left much to be desired. Thin cut fries were a bit floppy, and the thick cut ones just passed muster. Oh well!

Tail between my legs, I am offering a solid 3.5 stars and an explanatory update to my initial review. Recently, the venue was very kind to allow Unilocal to have a UYE there. We were a group of 13 and we went there for a games night, supported by burgers and beers from the establishment. I had been in contact with the owner who even offered us a set special price for a combo. He didn’t need to do that, so that was a bonus. The ‘shitty mismatched 1970’s furniture’ turned out to be a godsend on the night, as it meant we could shuffle about in three main groups, from one spot to another, mixing it up over the course of the evening. And it didn’t matter if we dropped a bit of saucy burger on the chair. Easy to wipe off vinyl! The burgers were bigger than I recalled. Mine was cooked to perfection, too, at medium rare. Still as good as I mentioned in my first rating. Chips were the same. Not my fave. The service was fabbo, too. They were operating a system of having one server cater to our group, coming to provide table service(we felt special) and writing everything down, so that all the guests had to do was head up and pay and that order was knocked off the list, before they left. Too easy. Unless, like **some people** you skipped out on the bill… you know who you are and you are off the Christmas list! It was a great event with some new Unilocalers showing up, being brave. Good onya. The theme was pretty popular. Lots of good feedback and some regrets from people who couldn’t make it on the night. So who knows, maybe we’ll do it again at BB? It’s a top spot for it.

The Burger Bistro’s pop-up goes alright! The burgers are a solid size, with the hamburgers grilled so that they are still pink in the middle *round of applause*. The USA Burger’s pickle, sauce, mustard, brioche bun and hamburger ratios tasted perfect to me. The venue is pretty large, so you can come with a group and enjoy playing the old school arcade game, or takeaway. They’re licensed too, so you can enjoy a beer with your burger.

Firstly I just like to say. Great night. Thanks Just A. for the organizing of UYE Beer Burgers and Board Games. BB pop up. I love this place. It’s very step back into the 50’s and 60’s with its lounge and dining room chairs. Straight away you feel comfortable with the style of the place and take it all in then you grab the menu to find out what goodies there are to eat. My choice was to be the U.S.A. Burger and fries with a $ 6.00 Corona to wash it down. My expectation was that a humungous burger would be delivered. Thinking to myself that I possibly could not eat a burger that’s the size of three burgers as the Americans do with super sizing. To my surprise a burger came out that was the size of a normal hamburger like an Aussie with the lot. It was easy to handle without dropping all the filling out on to the plate. A side of French fries also came with the burger. So I tucked in. Trying to not disgrace my self with food running down my chin, I had a few napkins beside me just in case. Mmmm! This burger was great. Absolutely loved every minute it took to shovel this U.S.A. Burger into my mouth completely filling me up. So glad lunch was right on midday gave me plenty of time to make room. Lol. I know disgusting but hey I tell it as I see it. The service was prompt and very friendly. Will be defiantly coming to this BB pop up again. I hope it stays open for a long time to come.

I came here on a Monday public holiday as it was one of the only places open on Beaufort Street that was crazy packed. We only ordered coffee and chips as we weren’t keen on big burgers. It wasn’t even lunch time yet. The chips were cold and old and for being one of the first customers I was surprised. They tasted like old HJs chips from across the road. The service was great and the girls were friendly. It is a large space with heaps of seating and couches and not many people there but the music was so loud we could barely talk over it. Again it wasn’t even lunch time yet. I didn’t try the burgers so I would probably come back and give that a shot but yeah I won’t be going there for a chat and coffee again.

I popped in here on a Tuesday night for a pre-gig meal. The place was pretty quiet and the empty vibe was heightened by the most boring, kill me now and put me out of my misery music. Seriously, if you were planning on breaking up with someone, this would’ve been the place to do it. However, to be fair, I have also eaten here on a Saturday night and it was much more lively. So take note — Tuesdays it’s the place for breakups and Saturday it’s a place for first dates. Now, onto the food! I had the American Hustle. A tasty, juicy, sloppy beef burger with pickles, and mayo on a brioche bun. Mayo was dribbling down my hands, dripping on my plate and it was goooood. Yes, the burgers are good. Very good. None of this fancy shmancy let’s try every type of cuisine possible in a burger. It’s a place that focuses on the classic beef burger and does it well. They have a good beer selection too at very reasonable prices.

Groovy. That was my first impression of this place. From the music to the quirky décor, which looks a bit like somebody raided a whole bunch of student households. Council verge collection chic might not sound classy, but I personally find this place both comfy and cool. With all the sofas and armchairs, it’s a good place to chill with friends over burgers and beers. Speaking of which, I was doubly impressed by the beer list because I really like Hite, Sapporo and Coopers. My addiction to pickles meant I didn’t get past the second burger on the list: American Hustle. The burger was really tasty. Unsurprisingly, I loved the thick slices of pickles, and the mayo was yum too, but there was a lot of it. My hands ended up smothered in the stuff. Yep. I got goozed. The bun, on the other hand, was a bit on the dry side. I still really ejoyed it though and would definitely go back for another. BB A Pop Up is funky and delicious. I wish I’d dropped in ages ago.

Best American style burger in Perth and cheap drinks, not sure why it isn’t more popular? Good place to sit around and chat over a burger and drinks.

Craving a simple, classic American style burger, my husband stumbled on BB A Pop Up on Unilocal.Warning me not to get too attached as it is a Pop Up, we went. Playing into every stereotype, I ordered the USA Burger which has melted cheddar, pickles, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and brioche. The USA Burger was exactly what I was craving – the simple, but high-quality taste of a great burger without all the distracting stuff like tomato chutney or any other random thing that seems to get thrown on a burger these days. The fries were great and they even offer milk shakes(no thick shakes though). This is the closest I have found to the fare offered at diners back home! The burger was very filling – can’t say I could eat one every week, but it satisfied that nagging craving I had been having for months since moving to Australia. BB – please don’t be a Pop Up! Stay awhile :)

Amazing burgers at a cheaper price than most. Add that to $ 6 drinks and awesome desserts and it’s a winner.

LOVEBB! Think all your favourite burger classics in a tasty brioche bun. The burgers are so delicious and easy to eat. The USA is one to try and the fries! Bb is well designed space with vintage furniture, multiple couches and chairs for small and big groups. The service is friendly, attentive and fast. If your looking for a place to try on Beaufort St I highly recommend BB a pop up!

Now this is what I call a burger joint! It does not bother to wow your eyes with its décor, it just goes straight to your stomach with excellent burgers! The menu puts it perfectly that they concentrate on sourcing fresh ingredients and have expert chefs to prepare the most deliciously indulgent(guilty habit) burgers. When I get my burgers from now on expect to find me here; medium rare beef, brioche bun, salad, bacon and cheese with their their secret sauce; it what you dreamed of as a kid(or is that just me?) Highly recommended though I burgers preferences vary I am sure you will enjoy.

Sometimes you just can’t beat chilling out with a good burger and beer. BB is the perfect place for all that. The burgers are good ol’ fashioned American style burgers. Nothing fancy, nothing quirky, just meaty, cheesy, dripping goodness. Serving them on brioche makes all the difference. We also got free beer with our order as a promotional event. Yes, please! It was lovely just watching the Beaufort Street world to by with good food and booze. You can stay, BB. You’re alright!
