A BYO fish and chip shop yay! Headed here with another couple and our dogs a few weeks back. You could call it a triple date, as Ellie and Boris the dogs are getting on famously. The fish and chips were only ok, I felt the batter on the fish was way too heavy and overly crunchy for my liking. Also the squid rings were crumbed. I much prefer a super light batter on both fish and squid. The chips were good. Portion sizes were pretty standard as far as Perth fish & chip shops goes. I’d give them three stars if it wasn’t for the fact they’re BYO.

Great quality, excellent value, solid portions! Good hearty Fish and Chips. Just order ahead as queues can be pretty big. Says it all.

Great quality, value and consistency! Can’t beat these guys to be honest. Used to get my fix from these guys regularly before I went overseas. I went back last week to see if they were still on the money after a bad experience else where in town. These guys still churned out some great fish and chips. The chips were cooked well and so was both the deep fried and grilled fish! Best part they still do banana fritters(although they were out when I tried order them). Glad to have these guys as my local and will keep coming back!

There were a few months before my New Year’s attempt of a detox(yeah right) where my sister and I would frequent this place every few weeks. We’d buy a fisherman’s basket to share, and a set of traditional fish’n’chips. Obviously, coming back rather often, we’d agree that this place makes great fish and chips. The fishermans’s basket contains several large calamari rings, not just one or two burnt-to-a-cinder bits of rubbery ol’ thing. And crumbed prawns. And yummy crabsticks. And lots and lots of crispy, but not too oily, chips. Been watching my chip intake lately, but methinks it’s time to revisit this good ol’ trusty fish’n’chip. Oh, did I mention they make the most delicious sweet potato patties? Mmmmmm.

Very original name. There’s no guessing a to what you will get here but at least there’s no confusion. They have recently upgraded their premises at The Mezz and it looks much more appealing there now and their chips are still great. Its becomming increasingly difficult to find a decent chip in Perth but this spot does a pretty nice potato.

Yummy. Fish n Chips located at the Mezz in Mount Hawthorne is my local fish and chip pit-stop. Decent portions, not too greasy, prompt and friendly service. What more could you ask from a fish and chips shop? Been going here for the past few months and I’m yet to be disappointed.
