Sumo Salad

I’ve tried the salads in the window and they were only so so… then lately, I tried the Sumo Salad chicken salads, the vietnamese chicken, the vietnamese beef… they don’t scoop these ones from the window… they actually make these ones up from scratch. Heating the pre-​cooked meat while they add the ingredients with the correct weight up for the salads… then mix it all together and box it up for you. If you can’t tell by now, i’m a Sumo Salad noob (newbie).
Yeah yeah so they charge close to $ 10 for the large salad… which is quite a lot I reckon, the salad tastes really fresh and is quite a big serve, so as long as it’s not creamy dressing soaking the lettuce and salad… it’s all good in my books.
I’ll be going back there again I think, maybe the smoked salmon one this time. On the flipside, they sell damn cheap coffees that are okay tasting and they also do soups! And bread rolls.
It’s the kind of place you go for a fresh meal in summer… in winter as well I guess, but in summer when it’s sweltering outside, these salads really hit my spot. They might hit your spot too if you give them a try.
