Upon arrival(Saturday 9.45pm), I was impressed with the store and the and its presentation and cleanliness. The Cashier greeted me with a lovely welcome. I began to browse the display cabinet, but quickly noticed that it was empty… Absolutely disgraceful. I proceeded to walk back to my car, i drove home listening to ‘Everybody Hurts’ on repeat & cried myself to sleep.

I am going to quick & specific about this chain opening near me. It’s a disappointment with the only plus is that it’s drive through. Donuts at Garden City are better but less convenient. If I want a sweet snack I prefer any other location including McDonald’s. Will not go back.

It’s great to have Krispy Kreme in my neighbourhood. Not good for my waistline though. The restaurant is spacey and a great place to hangout. Come here for dessert after having lunch or dinner at nearby fast food establishments. Drive-thru is pretty quick and they seem to have everything work out pretty well. The doughnuts? Well, they’re exactly what you’d expect from Krispy Kreme

Still super busy even a month on! The drive-thru still causes traffic jams! Great donuts, but now that they’re readily available elsewhere it is testament to the brand that this outlet is so popular.

How can a place known for its doughnuts run out of its most popular style of doughnuts? We arrived around 10pmish and even at that time it was soooo busy. There was a queue in the drive through and also inside. The staff were friendly but the service was slow. They had run out of glazed doughnuts, any other flavour I could understand! A friend who was there said it was the second night in a row that it had happened. There’s free wifi, some tables, chairs and booths. They do hot and cold drinks and aside from doughnuts they did ham and cheese croissants. Thought it would be less busy seeing as it’s been opened nearly two weeks now. Will go again in a while as I love doughnuts!

There is a serious hype about Krispy Kreme and being a lover of doughnuts I would’ve camped over night on Thursday to be the first one through the doors and claim my year worth of free doughnuts… That is, if I didn’t have a day job! This is day 3 of being open and there are still traffic marshals. The planning seems to be executed well with an ambulance on stand by, barricades to guide both cars and people queuing and the ‘express line’ tent out the front of the store. I have no idea how busy it was on Friday but the girl tells me it wasn’t too busy today.(Sunday) There was a DJ too to entertain why you wait in line and 3 employees out the front to welcome patrons. The inside looks similar to that in Whitfords but it is a smaller store. I was excited to try their doughnuts but apart from the coffee, they are the doughnuts you can now get at Jesters or 7/11s. My main disappointment was there was no viewing platform to see the doughnuts being iced on the conveyor belt, in fact I didn’t even see one. My favourite thing about Krispy Kreme is the fresh glazed hot doughnuts straight off the conveyor, they are a stand out for me and I would’ve loved to see it here being less than 10 mins from my house! Also, they don’t do the dessert doughnuts here either. I really wanted to try the lemon meringue doughnut that they keep promoting. Another disappointment. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome having KK in WA but not having fresh doughnuts you can but straight after being glazed is a sure let down for me.

Johnny loves me some KK doughnuts, wish it would hurry up and open.
