So at long last I got to visit Felix & co after having been recommended by a few folks I know and it didn’t disappoint. I had a toasted cheese and ham croissant which was tasty if a little too salty but the coffee is the main attraction and boy does it show! You can choose from three distinct bean types(I had Ecuadorian) with my usual flat white and it had a completely unique flavour which I found to be really great. Felix definitely moves into my all time top 3 for Perth. The staff were also really friendly and the whole place had a really nice atmosphere, I’ll be coming back for sure.

This is a small, hipsteresque coffee shop on the Hampden Road strip. I was easily convinced by the other reviews to give it a go, and when I ate lunch just up the road, I didn’t have to think twice about treating myself to an afternoon caffeine hit. I asked for a recommendation on what coffee to get, and was given good advice based on whether I was having hot/cold, or milk/black coffee. I opted for a hot, white coffee and would love to tell you which one I had, but can’t for the life of me remember. Regardless, it was delicious! My only regret was adding half a sugar to the flat white so not being able to taste the pure flavour. I didn’t need to add sugar to this coffee, and will be going back to try other blends just to make sure. The coffee was perfectly brewed, and perfect drinking temperature! No burnt mouth to speak of. Outstanding and worth a visit!

The staff at Felix & Co know their coffee! Felix & Co are great when you’re interested in a new coffee flavour. They offer a menu of differing roasts and if you ask they’ll suggest things to you. My favourite meal is the mushroom toastie, the relish(which is on all their toasties) is really great! Well worth a try. They also have takeaway cold drip which is always delicious.

Popped into today for a coffee. Been once or twice before and found the place a bit pretentious. Today. Less of the pretense. More outstanding coffee. Cheap too! Beautiful aqua blue cups! The beautiful flower arrangements seems to have gone… shame! Lacking in a bit of color! Good coffee. Well priced(for Nedlands). A god send for UWA students.

Finally made my way out here to check out what all the fuss was about and it lived up to it all. Plenty of great coffees to choose from both for espresso and V60/siphon! Their muesli is awesome too! With a few other of the usual breakfast suspects to accompany your coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful. I’d give it 5*‘s but $ 10 for a pour over is pretty steep, especially when you can pay half the price else where around town.

I was meeting a friend for lunch and needed a coffee hit after. I know all the Unilocalers had been raving about Felix and Co, so I asked my friend who worked in the area. ‘Yep, it’s the best’ she said, ‘you have to get the Guatemala’. The place is tiny, you’ll probably have to wait outside for your coffee. The wait can be a while, but the coffee is so creamy, and gives you a real kick of energy, unlike any other coffee I have tried. I was literally dancing around in my office chair the rest of the afternoon. In terms of food, they have a very limited menu, a few sandwiches, pastries and other sweet baked goods.

My friend and I coincidentally ‘discovered’ the best coffee place in Perth within the same week. I went to Daily Espresso in Swanbourne and she went here to Felix & Co. Well I’m sticking to mine but this is definately a close second. And the reason they are the 2 top coffee spots is not only because the baristas are great… but they use Proud Mary Coffee from Victoria. Be warned, this place like Daily Espresso is very small.

For all the coffee snobs out there, this is a place to try. Much like with wine, there are the coffee drinkers among us who know A. Strong coffee from B. weak coffee, or the even more simple minded who know A. good coffee from B. bad coffee. But then there are those who know A. silky mouthfeel, toffee, caramel & green apple snap, from B. sweet, juicy and effervescent, ripe red apples, pear cider and honeycomb wafer finish, from C. Extremely sweet & full bodied, Blackcurrant, milk chocolate & fresh apple juice… These were the current offering at Felix & Co.(that’s right, you can –choose– which beans you have) I know an, A. good coffee from a B. bad coffee, and Felix & Co. is offering a Good Coffee, I would even go as far as to say Very Good Coffee. It was very smooth, a good strength and in a lovely setting also. The NZ lady working there was also very pleasant. It is $ 4 for a dine-in coffee — an odd 20 or 30c above the rest, but I am willing to pay this for the novelty of choosing the beans. This is the best coffee on the Hampden strip, as far as I am concerned.

New and still finding their feet, but boy is their coffee delish! Good to see more and more places for great coffee in Perth.
