I’ve been going to Eden’s since I started uni(it’s just around the corner from UWA), it’s a healthy, tasty and they make some of the best smoothies and fresh juices I have every had. All of their sauces and salads are fresh and home made so you are paying a bit more but for great quality. They work as a self service buffet style, and you choose what you want and exactly how much of it you want(be mindful if you do go over board they will charge you a $ 1 or $ 2 for an extra large meal), this is a great service because you don’t have a server who is extremely stingy with how much avocado he puts on your roll and you can’t get annoyed with anyone for putting tomato when you said you didn’t want it twice. Do be prepared to wait in line for a while between 12 and 1, as it is highly popular amongst uni students and workers in the area and if you want something to cool down I highly recommend their green smoothie, a wonderful blend of frozen mango, spinach(I know this sounds weird but it is actually amazing!) fresh apple juice and lime or try one of their yogurt slices they are to die for!

The last thing you want when you order a sandwich is; 1) to have to explain the intricasies of what you want on your sandwich and 2) to get a sandwich full of ingredients you don’t want. I realise that some people would rather, whilst spending the money anyway, have someone make their salad or sandwich for them but being essentially controlling over how people make my sandwich(and put milk in my cereal but thats another issue) I enjoy making my own. Let’s face it, if you were to buy all the ingredients yourself it would work out more expensive anyway.

For a takeaway salad $ 10 may seem a little rough, however I thoroughly enjoyed my gourmet style sandwich. Eden’s Salad Bar is a serve yourself and has a buffet style selection of ingredients where you can create delicious salads and sandwiches. I always think it’s silly the people that come in to joints like this to make a sandwich with plain ham and cheese, or a salad with the majority salad and a few slices of cucumber and some tomato if your lucky. Eden’s salad bar is for those who like to spice it up and chuck a little of everything inside, make the most of their fresh ingredients I say, and overload your sandwich to the point you can hardly fit it in your mouth — then your talking.
