Went here recently for my 60^th birthday. The food was special and matching wines perfectly complemented each tasty mouthful. My husband is not keen on degustation and even he was impressed

I’ve always have them on my to go to restaurant and my visit didn’t disappoint. Each plate was amazing. The wine pairing was very eclectic. They found the most interesting wines, even one from Long Island New York! Who would have thought they grow wine in upstate NY?!
Each plate was a favourite. I definitely recommend getting the wine pairing and let them delight your tastebuds.

This is one of the best restaurants in Newtown.

We dined here recently while catching up friends in Sydney and it was worth every penny (including our flights and accommodation)!
Karl and his team set a daily degustation menu that can be matched to wines, oh so perfectly! OUr experienced kicked off with the Karl’s take on a gin and tonic — gin and tonic infused sugar cane in a bed of ice. As we munched away on our sugar cane our excitement level increased as we anticipated what other delights were to come! We were spoiled with fresh sashimi, wagu, bugs (of the ocean variety), cheese and homemade icecream.
The courses were perfectly sized and the staff were expert in their explanation of dishes and wine description and as guests left they were fare welled at the door.
Definitely a place to visit for a special occasion or to make an ordinary occasion special!

Came here for my birthday with my better half, enjoyed the degustation with a very nice bottle of wine.
The food was interesting and very technical in the preparation, with the chefs doing different things with ingredients than normal. However whilst I did enjoy the food I was waiting for that one ‘wow’ dish which never came, and that was the only disappointment.
Service was polite, helpful and attentive, pretty much what you want. The restaurant itself is small and has only a few tables which is great as you can talk to the person on the other side of the table without shouting, making this a good date destination.

In a word — amazing! Oscillate Wildly specialise in a degustation menu and it’s just a whole other experience. They were more than happy to adapt the menu to suit a vegetarian and there was an option to have a glass of wine that matched with each dish (highly recommended). The staff are super pleasant and have a thorough knowledge of the food. If you’re looking for a really special place for a special meal, you can’t get better than Oscillate Wildly. Worth every cent!

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Newtown. It specializes in seasonal degustation menus that feature creative and delicious food combinations (the 8-​course degustation menu we tried one Fall day was out of this world). It is tiny and reservations are essential, but it is well worth a visit.

A gem off the beaten path of Newtown. Oscillate Wildly holds culinary genius that produces the best degustation in the area. The restaurant is quaint and the atmosphere is romantic. The perfect place for a dinner for two. This is a culinary experience that should not be missed. Grab someone you want to grab later and head on over!
