Cool, old school, grungy live music venue. Expect an eclectic mix of people, chilled out vibe and an aroma of weed out the back if you come on a reggae night Pool table and smoking area out the back, normally reasonable drinks prices too. Nice to have Mrs browns and flipside next door for a pre gig burger and drinks Also has monthly comedy nights too.

Went there last night to watch a band. Small venue, 2 rooms, standing only in the room with the band. Good sound system. 2nd room had a sign said no smoking but everyone was smoking. Have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get to the ladies room. Tenders are nice and quick. They remembered what I was drinking. Loss of stars is for indoor smoking tolerance.

Lots of seating in the outside area and some inside, good acoustics for bands and parking isn’t too bad as you can park for free nearby. Nice beer selection and a bit sexy and dark inside.

The place is well know by locals and live music enthusiasts. Love the atmosphere, great gigs and quality sound. You can find bands playing reggae, indi, blues and roots to name a few, always something on. Friday and Saturdays gets really packed. Beers is always cold and there is a pool table in the back. Awesome place for a night out, check out new bands, catch up with mates and crank the dance floor!

I love Mojos for a Friday night gig or just a boozy catch up with friends! It’s located in an old house styled pub with a small outdoor area with a pool table and seating. They have a lot of music gigs here and I love when someone I want to see is playing here because it just has a chilled out atmosphere and as it’s fairly small, you feel like you are right there in front of them no matter where you are standing. The drink prices are also cheap for perth standards which is also a bonus. I also just recently came here for Reggae night after the Local Heroes Unilocal Event and had a great night grooving away with friends!

Went here last night to see a couple of bands. The service was good and the atmosphere was fun. Bit of a college feel but hey we enjoyed ourselves. Big drinks menu.

One of my favourite venues for a show — or even just a few drinks out the back in the beer garden. I did go one time when they were having issues with their gas so there were no mixers which was a bit annoying, but I still can’t resist a good show there. Very intimate and lots of fun.

This is a great music venue for up and coming bands was there on Saturday when it was a billion degrees out and was expecting it to be like an oven but it was great. Always a great atmosphere and huge selection of beers to keep your thirst quenched the whole pub is filled with street art style paintings and mosaic style images. Would recommend if you want to go to a small venue with some great music.

What a fun night myself and my friends had when coming here last Friday for the Reggae night. Before heading in we grabbed a quick bite to eat from the pop up hot dog stall out the front. This was one of the most delicious hot dogs I have ever tasted mmm. Drinks are so cheap here, my fav Long Island Ice Tea was only $ 12.00! Which was probably a bad thing as I had one too many: P It had an outside area with a pool table, tables and chairs etc if you wanted to chill and have a bit of a chat and ofcorse the dance floor inside if you want a bit of a boogie. This is the first time I have ever been here but defiantly want to return for other events.

Great little bar in North Freo. Well priced drinks & a good stage/dance space. We came for reggae night on Friday and had so much fun. It gets a little bit packed, especially out in the courtyard where the smokers hang out & play pool. If i lived closer to Fremantle I would definitely hit this place up more. One tip: beware of the toilet doors, they are spring loaded and I was unlucky enough to cop one to the face… still nursing an egg on my head from that one.

MOJO’S ISTHEBEST! Yes, I am happy to yell this from the rooftop! Why? The sound quality; the well set up, fast bar; the adequately raised staging; the dancefloor for grooving; the relaxing courtyard; the distinct lack of annoying boofhead security guards and above all, Mojo’s relentless commitment to showcasing local, interstate and international talent. For decades this place has been a church for praising the music gods, and so many of my favourite music memories have been at this venue. I love their support of the local music industry. Without venues like this, Perth would not be the mecca for producing such wonderfully talented bands that excel on the national and global scene. Good work Mojo’s. Keep on Rockin in the Free World!

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t review something with so many reviews, but I’m a musician by trade, so thought it might be good to add that perspective. MOJO’S ISGREAT. It is one of my favourite rooms to play in, whether it’s to a packed out crowd of pleasantly drunken locals on a Friday night or strumming a guitar on a chilled out Tuesday. The house sound engineers are always friendly and talented and the bar staff are good for a laugh too. Unusually for a venue this size, it has a band room in the form of a curtained off area of the bar, which connects to a bathroom with its’ own mirror and toilet facilities. The PA is more than up to the task of everything from folk acts to dubstep DJ’s and the crowd this place attracts are knowledgeable about music and fun to play to. Mojo’s is a great 230 capacity room that fills out nicely with as little as fifty people in it. If you’re a touring band looking at playing a show in Freo, I’ve got no reservations in recommending booking in here. If you’re just starting out as a band, they run a great open mic on a monday night — contact Bruno to get on the bill, his details are on the Mojo’s website.

This has to be one of Perth’s BEST live music venues, it has had many amazing musicians play here, and I am guaranteed a good night out if I go. I love the vibe of the place a mix of young an old, sane and insane. It has a cute little beer garden and a few of the gigs held there have had live music out there too. I think this place is great for checking out local talent! The one weird thing that I have to mention, is the game in the middle of the place, a safari killing game? I sat and watched someone shooting lions and elephants? What kind of sick game is that, I mean shooting people in a game is one thing, but animals? Really?

Mojos is a big supporter of local and independent acts which means gigs are cheap and the vibe is raw. It’s a really intimate stage and audience space — I saw Oh Mercy a while back and you could feel the energy bouncing of them. This is a pretty easy-going joint, out back is decked out patio style with old mix-matched furniture, arcade games, a pool table and little nooks and crannies for groups to gather. An interesting beer and wine range makes the experience all the richer, plus you’ve got burgers and another bar next door to make a night of it.

Mojo’s is just a little outside Fremantle’s town, if you’re a walker you could walk it from North Fremantle station, otherwise just drive or taxi it. It is a funky Mexican rabbit warren of a bar. It is pretty cheap to get in, and drinks are a standard price. There is a stage set up and local musicians and comedians play here consistently. Look out for those who play here as I’ve seen musicians here, who are now on festival line ups. While the bar area is mostly standing, a little way in there is plenty of seating, and if you’re not liking the vibe of the band playing you can walk through to another section of seating and pretty much ignore the band and still enjoy a drink with your friends. Mojo’s is a great supporter of local music and talent and has a fun atmosphere, especially when they do $ 10 cocktails!

Fremantle has long been a hub for talented musicians to bunker down and create soulful tunes that reflect the overriding attitudes and feel of the area. Some have gone on to international success, most have gone on doing it just for the love of it, but one thing they have in common is that they would have spent a fair portion of time at the music institution they call Mojos. Located in North Fremantle — this bohemian style venue plays host to a whole range of acts for a whole range of genres from a whole range of places. The bar is set up incredibly well for events and provides the textbook variety of drinks at affordable prices. The mood of the venue will be very much dictated by the night you attend but there is much to cater for the musically minded and the creative at heart. The Fisherman’s style night held on a monthly basis is hugely popular with those who are down with all tings reggae.

If you’re looking for a funky place in Fremantle to hear the very best reggae, hip hop, folk music and live local acts, Mojo’s is where the party is at if you’re after a night of nothing but good times. Mojo’s is by far my favourite place to let loose and boogy in the little sea side town, and well worth the trek if you’re coming from elsewhere. From the outside, Mojo’s exterior is so flamboyantly coloured one could easily mistake it for being some sort of Mexican Cantina. Although you could probably get away with donning a sombrero and behaving like a tourist in Tijuana, Mojo’s is in line with Fremantle’s frivolous, hippy, artsy kind of vibe. Go here on any night of the week and you’re sure to find a surfeit of interesting characters. They also have live acts playing every single night of the week. Too good! Cover charge is usually around the $ 5-$ 10 mark, but unlike most of Perth’s establishments, Mojo’s actually delivers on the entertainment front. I’ve never been one for Aussie hip hop or reggae, but I’ve found myself a regular at both monthly events. The bar is really well stocked as well, and you’re more than likely to find me ordering a vodka lime and soda and swaying merrily around the stage with a bevvy of new friends any Friday or Saturday night. The outside area is great for playing a game of pool or grabbing some fresh air. Either plop yourself down on the couches on the right or grab a picnic table and you’re sure to make some new friends with Fremantle’s friendly folk. A definite must if you’re after some new live music and up for socialising with a new crowd.
