Polly Coffee Bar nests inside the Cultural Centre, between the State Library and the Art Gallery, Northbridge. Reminiscent of a Polly Pocket fold-out ‘Art Studio’, it chirrups the semblance of a stock standard ‘pop-up shop’, which(traditionally) aims to captivate your attention, then fly the coop… However– Polly is a quick, quaint, and quintessential coffee shop that is HERETOSTAY and ready to rule the roost. The ladies know my name and my order off-by-heart, which is the P’s and Q’s to good customer service– anywhere. Polly opens early for the early birds, the coffee is yet to disappoint AND they have gluten free slices, cakes and cookies– meaning I can kill two birds with one stone on the way to work. Thanks Polly, your staff should be as proud as peacocks! Yours faithfully, Ash, Soy Latte With Honey.

Polly puts the kettle on and we will all have tea or coffee as in my case! I love the fact that Polly is open seven days a week and I can be guaranteed a great cup of coffee on the way to work even in the early hours of the morning. It is nigh impossible to find another café in Perth which opens early on a Sunday morning! The people of Perth thank you Polly and the wonderful work ethic of your staff! The café also offers a selection of savoury and sweet items which look very tempting. There are croissants, bagels, wraps and Turkish rolls with a variety of interesting fillings. Indulge your sweet tooth with a caramel slice, a muffin or some delicious banana bread. There is a well stocked cabinet of the legendary Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and assorted soft drinks. The café itself is in a prime position, right in the heart of the Cultural Centre near the wetlands. There is plenty of outdoor seating which is completely shaded and offers a tranquil spot to while away some time. I have always experienced excellent service at Polly. The staff are lovely, they always greet you as soon as you enter the café and if you wait outside they will hand you your coffee with a smile and a cheery greeting!

Today was their first day open on Beaufort st and I had a vegan bagel — it was freaking yum! my colleagues at work like their coffee as well — I’m a little fussier, but the bagel was great and the service was too!

My face coffee place in the Cultural Centre. It’s really tiny and during peak times it can take quite a while to get your coffee due to the customer/barista ratio however i think it’s worth the wait. On hot days i get the«Coldie» which consists of coffee, milk and ice in a regular size cup– Perfect. NO Ice-cream, NO cream, NO sugar and i don’t have to pay exorbitant Ice Coffee prices when all your want is coffee & milk on ice Coldies are $ 4 and awesome! Love it here

I have been here twice now and though the service has been good, the coffee was terrible! The first time it was so bad I couldn’t event drink it, but I thought maybe that was a one time issue as I know lots of people who love this place. I went back the second time, and sadly it was no better. I may just be super unlucky, but I won’t be coming back to try a third cup.

I will preface my review with the fact I have only tried the coffee from Polly; however since I have never had a bad coffee from here(even when they are busy) I wanted to give a shout out and advise my fellow Unilocalers that they should consider this location for a caffeine fix next time you are in the arts precinct!

Such lovely service, and the coffee is pretty great. I work in the area so usually am in a rush to get a coffee in my lunch break, but the girls are very quick so I never have to wait long. The sandwiches although a bit pricey are so tasty, and always really interesting flavour combinations. Favourite coffee shop in the cultural centre no doubt

Great coffee in an awesome setting, grab a take away and kick back, taking in the buzz of the cultural centre.

Situated conveniently in the hub of Perth’s cultural centre, is this grey, concrete block of a coffee bar. It’s more visually appealing than I make it sound and distinctively resembles that of a bird aviary in structure. Presumably, taking cue from its pigeon-populated surroundings, the interior is also peppered with quirky, bird-y objects. A a small selection of gourmet sandwiches, rolls and sweet snacks sit at the counter. They’re not bad, but more sold out of convenience. If you’re visiting the Perth museum or simply passing through, make Polly your coffee pit-stop, it’s far superior to those nearby. Don’t be lead by the crowds at Caffissimo… unless you really want to sit and rest your feet.

Polly is a pop up coffee shop echoing its’ creative surroundings. At an unmarked crossroads between the library, national museum and the art gallery sits this café, like a transparent lift that has been renovated. It compliments the space, providing an innovative and nutritious selection of eats and drinks to satisfy all. The café, decorated with the odd bird cage here and there, is relatively compact bursting with energy but it is the vege friendly menu(branching ot well beyond a slice tofu wedged between a burger bun) that is the major selling point for me! There is limited seating inside lending itself to the air con-inclined, however I’m partial to the the outside seating here which allows me to enjoy a gormet antipasto creation of eggplant, sundried toms and spinache w feta–(that’s my kind of roll!) in the cultural centre itself. Great atmosphere– prime locaton — polly has cracked it here!
