Superstar Waffles

I’ve been keeping myself from backless stool.
Here in Superstar, I experience the uncomfortable feeling after sitting one.
I hope it won’t happen again.
By far, wide options of sweet, ‘though I’m not fond of it just my wife.
Lovely to look at, and the place is simply great and clean.
Honey and ice-​cream on my waffles is one of my fave here.
A lot of options on what flavor you want. That’s what eating makes more fun.

Awesome venue. Waffles are delicious best I’ve ever had! Huge portions, left stuffed!
Only downsize uncomfortable backless stools to sit on and small tables. Struggles to fit 3 plates and 3 drinks on it.
Would definitely return.

Stopped in on Saturday night. Friendly happy staff still cranking out the treats. Place was full, great seating area outside with other restaurants. Great coffee, spectacular waffles. Will be back!

I love the Matcha Latte (cold or hot) and the waffles. I’m not a fan of waffles but your waffles are great that I could actually eat it every now and then. I recommend this shop to all You deserve a 5 stars!

Very average waffles with average quality toppings. Nothing stands out.

Along with their waffles comes a great menu of sweet drinks of milk shakes, coffee and my favourite matcha flavoured latte!
I am a fan of honey and ice-​cream on my waffles, and then this time round I opted to include mixed berries. YUMMO! It was the perfect serving and I am not a huge fan of the über sweet waffles, but the others at my table loved them!
It’s a simple idea that takes it to new heights being creative yet keeping to the basics. It’s a winner!

Waffles are amazing! The minute you step into the store you can smell the goodness! I ordered classic waffles with two scoops of ice cream and extra fruit and my friend ordered chocolate waffles :)
They came out in a reasonable time :)
I didn’t end up receiving the fruit but I didn’t really mind. I did double check with the lady that she wrote it down but I guess she just didn’t make it, but I didn’t mind because I was full from eating the waffles.
My friend really loved her waffles as well!
We found this gem of a shop after getting a coffee from babooshka and I’m glad we stopped here! The staff were nice.

Unfortunately i was disappointed… by the lack of nutella! No nutella is ever enough nutella, and sadly, one teaspoon of the hazelnut chocolate heaven in a spread just did not cut it for me — particularly when the waffles i ordered were supposed to feature nuteela as a key ingredient. Overall, the waffles did the job, but i probably wouldn’t race back.

Always hits the spot. This is the kind of niche dessert location that’s worth going out of your way for.
Sure, the lack of seating may mean a little patience, and the poor ventilation might make it a bit stuffy inside — but these problems waft away when their plates of joy are placed in front of you. Being a sweet tooth, I simply cannot pass up an opportunity to visit.
Having visited here no less than six times since opening, every time the quality has been consistently good, the flavours and combinations wonderful — and the bonus is they know how to make a very reasonable hot chocolate.
The s’mores waffle has to be at the top of my list. The gooey marshmallow goodness, the melted chocolate, and everything else that goes with it makes it a meal in itself. You’ll spend a few hours sucking out all the flavours from your teeth, wondering if it’s too soon to go back for another.
The beauty of this place is that it’s a bit of a secret, well off the main areas of Northbridge which has meant knowledge of this place has mainly been by word of mouth. It ensures you won’t wait too long to grab a table for your group, and sit down to savour the sugary goodness that is Superstar Waffles.

I have on more than a few occasions asked my friends to join me in a stroll to «walk off the dinner» we may just have had and on some occasions (I lie, it’s actually most of the times) we end up hear. The casual strolls turn into just directly walking into this place to order one of their well prepared and delectable waffles or even just a drink. the waffles are well made and always fresh. crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The toppings are nothing to rave about but I have my favourite (Smore’s) and they do it well. No radical experimentation, just good waffles.
The place gets quite busy during peak hours which is usually after dinner time so I usually avoid the place during that time. However inside the shop it can get quite hot due to poor ventilation and bad air conditioning. It’s not a big deal as they do have seating outside. There have been on a few occasions that staff may have expressed some poor customer service towards other customers, but hey, I’m just here for the waffles. The «toasted gluten injected with sugar» joy is to die for.

Staff weren’t too friendly when we were there. But them waffles were so fluffy making it a place I would go again. Wasn’t too impress with the price but I guess that’s what you will have to pay for a dessert place in NB. More Nutella please!

What the WAFFLE!!! A simple but delicious little spot in the heart of Northbridge offers a range of toppinga on a decent sized light fluffy waffle. My choice for the night was a warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Warm apple slices in an apple syrup drizzled over fresh hot waffles with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side accompanied by a small dish of maple syrup satisifed the craving of something sweet after dinner! The serving size was more than enough for 1 person…¼ of mine went to my fiancé who smashed his S’more waffle choice. This place is definate must if you are looking for something sweet and satisfying.

My boy ordered the sweet milk waffles ($ 8.00) which consists of crispy waffles brushed with melted butter and drizzled with sweet condensed milk, topped with whipped cream. He opts to have a scoop of vanilla ice-​cream on top for $ 1.00.
I’m personally not the biggest fan of condensed milk but he’s pretty happy munching away and enjoying our late night dessert run. I have to say, the waffles here are so good — crunchy on the outside and golden brown, with the centre light and fluffy.
My order of the banoffee waffles ($ 9.50) comes with fresh bananas on top of warm toffee, with cream and maple syrup. Feeling greedy I also add on a scoop of ice-​cream — why not! The fresh bananas work perfectly with the toffee which reminds me of dulce de leche. It’s sweet and oozy and just plain delicious.

One place I often go for desserts in Northbridge is Superstar Waffles which is located in the lane near Jus Burgers and Is Donburi. As the name suggests, Superstar Waffles is primarily a dessert shop selling waffles. The first time I came here with my parents, we loved the place and the waffles! We ordered and shared the Berrylicious waffle ($ 9.50) and the Sweet Milk Waffle Stick ($ 4). The Berrylicious waffle and the Sweet Milk Waffle Stick was very delicious and it was not too sweet.
During another one of my other trips here, I came with three of my good friends after dinner at Is Donburi. We ordered the Traffic Light Waffle ($ 10) which consists of kiwi, strawberry and banana as part of the Summer Specials. My friend ordered the Strawberry Fields Waffle ($ 9). Both waffles were equally as good and does not make you feel full that quickly, which makes it a good dessert!
For the drinks, we ordered the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte. I have actually never tried the Green Tea Latte before until my good friend recommended it to me. I really enjoyed the Green Tea Latte and it was milky, tastes like what you would expect of green tea and it was not very sweet.
I really enjoyed Superstar Waffles during my trip here and I highly recommend Superstar Waffles for desserts if you are around Northbridge. It is also a great place to catch up with friends over waffles and coffee/​tea. :)

Wholly cow I think maybe I had dreams about this place before it opened! I also salivate at the mouth upon any passing by of the store!
It’s basically a must visit if your a waffle fan.
They do waffles on sticks and waffles with icecream, chocolate, strawberries, apple pie and so many awesome options.
The smores waffle with the marshmallow fluff, Nutella, mini marshmallows, choc mmmmm don’t need to say much more there do I?
The apple pie waffle is my favourite. it’s a really good combo of apple/​waffle/​cinnamonsugar/​muesli crumble.
Sooo delicious!
Prices are a little high but the euphoria you leave after such a good waffle is also a little high so goes hand in hand!

They should probably be open 24 – 7 would make things a lot easier for me.

Yes you’ve come to the right place. Superstar Waffles have amazing waffles including the above and heaps more! Fitted out with wooden stools, cute little tables and the smell of waffles just wafting through the air — perfect for those cold winter days that are upon us here in Perth! They’ve also a great range of drinks ranging from classic coffees, hot matcha lattes and a selection of rooibos drinks too.
I’ll give it a four for food however service? Eek! Not really sure if the management are aware but there’s always quite a cold and uninviting vibe from the staff… a tad off putting.
Nevertheless the waffles are amazing!

I’m not a big dessert eater and waffles are no exception. I’ve always considered them a little too excessive. But now I’ve changed my mind. LOVED my impromptu Superstar Waffle experience the other day. Fresh hot waffle, crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. A little pot of maple syrup on the side you can drizzle to your hearts’ content and a dollop of whipped cream you can be really wicked with. I had the apple one, so I also had a generous proportion of delicious strewed apple and cinnamon. There was also these little nutty clusters amongst it. All that for about $ 11. W-​O-​W. I’m going back there on cheat day for another round!

Superstar waffles was a dessert choice after Thailicious on our Sunday afternoon quest to have a progressive lunch.
As recommended by Zac (lovely hubby of Sylvia, Unilocaler) we landed there & it’s a tiny little shop but surprisingly, it could accommodate the 8 of us. Seated down we browsed through the simple menu & ordered our waffles.
I ordered the Banoffee waffle & boy it was delicious! It cost $ 11.50. Oh my, it was totally worth it. It was thick, crunchy & with the combinations of the caramel, banana & maple syrup I was in heaven. Mind you, I was pretty full by then after the Thai lunch (please read my review on Perth Thailicious).
Everyone seemed happy with their respective waffles. Only 1 bad thing with made the final star disappear. Why is it so stuffy inside. There’s a fan just above us but geez it’s warm & not much ventilation. Perhaps where we were seated is right at the back, I dunno. Think I’ve made my point, it’s HOT. Can’t imagine on a hot summer’s day.
Definitely will be back. Depending on the numbers, I might choose to sit outside for a change.

Perfect end to a great night. Not as busy as other venues, not as loud either. The American Pie waffles are amazing. Cinamon, Apple, Vanilla Icecream goodness. Wash it down with a late-​night Chai.

How can you not love a place that is honest to its name, the server super waffles!
They have a good selection and recently made it easier to accommodate changers and additions which is nice; the staff are friendly, the place looks pretty and minimalist.
If you are after a treat between the Perth or FringeWorld festivals or just happen to be in Northbridge check it out, just don’t blame me if you get addicted.
