Hmmm… What to say about the peddler. Unfortunately the few times I’ve been here I have been underwhelmed. The coffee and food are sooooo pricey! And not that well executed I’m afraid. Over $ 4 for a coffee is ridiculous. Especially when it doesn’t knock your socks off. The food was all nice but not quite 100%. Just undercooked eggs, not enough salt/seasoning just to name a couple of issues. This is the closest café to my house but I would much rather drive the extra 10 – 15 minutes to the firehouse and get a spot on breakfast/lunch/coffee. Sorry peddler!

I’ve been here a couple of times and I must admit found it to be on the pricey side. I had the gypsy eggs for lunch and it was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend. Coffee is also excellent which is always a plus plus. One of the waiters/barista there is super laid back and chilled, which I wasn’t sure how to take at first but since have come to appreciate it!

The Peddler is a great little find for the Springfield Road shops, tucked away on the corner next to Bond Locksmiths it is hard to believe that you would find well presented food and good coffee on this strip. Be prepared though, it doesn’t come cheap. The Peddler has a pricey menu with a coffee costing you over $ 4, add a muffin and it will take you to over $ 10. The fitout is funky and modern, the service is also quite good which makes me not worry about the cost. In my honest opinion, this is not a pretentious café and the only thing I could falter them for is being closed on Monday and Tuesday. With plenty of outdoor seating it seems to be a pet friendly café. Definitely try this out if you live in the Whitehorse area and want a good breakfast spot on the weekend, be prepared though you may have to wait for a table.
