Yyyuuummmmmmmm!!! Defs found a winner in this little café. Picked the worst day in Melbourne to take the pooch out for brunch, freezing, raining, windy, 7degrees. We stumbled across this place due to it being the only one with dry seating outside, under cover. The waitress was a lovely lady who bought out blankets for us, and took our orders asap. Kept coming to check on us etc Now to the food, my brunch buddy & I both ordered the brit, hash browns, poached eggs, cheese & a delish capsicum sauce. The coffee was on point, creamy, perfect texture & just yum! Will be a great place to head back to, maybe when the weather improves a little though.

Requested strong latte… coffee arrived burnt. The salmon avocado was awesome though. Service can be patchy. but for food wise. worth a return visit.

Such delicious coffee here, perfect foam on my cappuccino and the espresso was smooth. Will have to come back for breakfast some time as the menu looks quite good.

This was my first time at the Dark Horse, having been to Miss Polly’s(two doors down) quite a few times. The décor is nice and it was quite busy which is a good sign. Pluses: — breakfast menu looks great and the food we saw coming out was well presented. — no eftpos minimum which is also great since Miss Polly’s does have one set annoyingly high Minus: — coffee was average, and this was a significant minus since it was the only item we stopped in for this morning. Will still come back though… At least once to try the food.

Nice coffee for the outer burbs. Haven’t tried the food though. Happy to come here again.
