The quality of lunch bars in Osborne Park has caused me many headaches in recent years. There are quite a lot of scrubby corners that offer deep fried food and energy drinks. There are also a number of newly emerging cafes labelling themselves as ‘gourmet’. This usually means they offer fresh sandwiches and a few paninis and charge extra for the gourmet title.
Ravenous falls somewhere in the middle of both. They offer the ‘orange fried gunk’ but also offer some fresh salads and sandwiches. Prices are somewhat high but now quite as high as their fake gourmet counterparts.
