Like others have mentioned, it’s particularly great if you have kids. The servings are large and flavours are great. I had the corn beef hash and it tasted terrific, although the strong, sweet and spicy mustard flavour became a little overpowering about halfway through the meal. Nonetheless, I was quite impressed. I’ve also had plain poached eggs on toast, and while they were done to perfection(runny yolks, completely cooked whites and obviously fresh eggs) they used far too much vinegar in the poaching water. I’m guessing it’s not always like that so I’ll be having the eggs again next time. The prices are good, the staff are great, the view is great and the food is good overall. I’d definitely recommend it. The weekends are busy, but things start to die down around 10:30ish.

Oh gosh! Where do I start? Chapter IV is the best place to dine with young kids. Coupled with delicious meals and accommodating service, Chapter IV truly is perfection. The play area provides entertainment for the little tikes with the area safely gated and plenty of toys for the little ones. My 7-month old was busy inspecting all the toys which made her happy and not at all bored and restless. The first time I was here, the staff accommodated our request for a table of ten for breakfast. They were efficient and not a single dish was forgotten or delayed. Furthermore, everyone at the table was extremely pleased with their meals. This time I had the potato hash which was simply fab — feta, pancetta, avocado and poached egg with a Hollandaise sauce. Absolutely tasty. I added salmon as I completely missed the pancetta when reading the menu. No matter, still tasty. My companion enjoyed her Nutella and banana crepes very much too! The iced frappes were refreshing and delicious too. I have a feeling we’ll be making more trips to Chapter IV!

Chapter IV is what this cottage on Latrobe Terrace should have been all along after Hampton’s Home left the space. It is finally back to it’s light and bright café with a hum of chit chat as customers sip coffee, dine from the menu of healthy eats and freshly baked cakes and take in the view from the back deck. The difference this time is the way in which the owners have made the café so friendly to kids. Part of the back room is now a dedicated kids play area and there’s deliberate space left between most tables making it easy for prams and kidlets to weave around the area. While not a Mum myself, having visited here with Mum-friends, the sheer relief in their face is enough to tell me how welcome this consideration is. And if you’re in a dash and needing a take-away most of the menu is able to be prepped for you to eat on the run. I highly recommend the chicken and pomegranate salad for a light but satisfying lunch!

We’ve eaten at this location before but the business has changed. It definitely worth popping in trying out the food now the business has changed hands. It’s a massive change. Both in service and quality of food. We took our 3yo here and she had a great time playing while we waited the short time for our first dish. The prawns. Wow! They’re amazing! Then came the scallops shortly after… double wow! Then one of the two top favourites, the wagyu beef! Also excellent! Our only regret was not ordering the other favourite, the Pork belly. This place ha definitely changed for the better! We’ll be back to try the breakfast and lunch.

Having a 15 month old who likes to get into everything and its always on the move its really hard to find a place to go meet up with a friend. Chapter IV solves this problem with a fenced off play area for kids. AMAZING a Mum’s dream café. Any what is even better the food and coffee is great too! And what a great view the back porch has. I met a friend for a late breaky — which is served all day– We both had the Sweet Potato and Zucchini Fritter Stack and it was tasty. I did see the fruit salad go by as we were waiting and it looked amazing. It was so nice to be able to eat out and not worry about my son getting into trouble. Prices are very good for Paddington. They have yummy treats near the counter as well. I am looking forward to going back to lunch with some fellow Mums.

Finally… someone who understands what parents want! I love this new paddington café and décor. I’ve been there twice since it’s opened and each time the staff have been amazing — very hospitable and caring of the kids. A definite advantage to visiting this café is the designated, fenced off playroom for kids. You can have a coffee and watch after them all at the same time, without feeling judged. I’ve only been here for coffee with a few mums so far but did have the opportunity to try the lime meringue pie, which was amazing. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. The only negative I’ve found is parking in the area.

I’ve been here 3 times now with all my mama friends, we all agree this place is the bomb. Delicious and very reasonably priced lunches, good coffee and rainbow cheesecakes a-plenty! This is an extremely baby friendly café with play area and loads of room for prams and the most high chairs I’ve ever seen at a café. The view out the back is spectacular. Highly recommended. I have enjoyed their beautifully marinated chicken thigh with pomegranate + kale salad with a sesame dressing for $ 14. All their food have a good price point so you can afford to keep meeting mama friends here regularly. It’s good for babies, but it doesn’t sacrifice the style factor. I like that.

Chapter IV is a funky new café in the heart of Paddington. It’s minimalist white interior and charming mismatched furniture make this little café feel like home. They are serving Campos coffee and my giant cappuccino went down a treat. I had a lovely fruit salad topped with coconut yoghurt and a superfood mix — super yummy and beautiful fresh food. My partner had eggs benedict and thought it was great(which is saying a lot — he is a harsh judge). There were some awesome looking sweet treats at the counter(something that looked like a brownie with tiny teddies in it particularly caught my eye…) Service was friendly, quick and efficient. We visited early on a Saturday morning and it was very quiet. I’m guessing people don’t know about it yet as it’s fairly new — get on it people!

Oh my yummy lord this is the best fry up I have had in Brisbane, the flavours of the sausage with maple bacon and cherry tomatoes with caramelised onions and spinach and mushrooms was a delight served with toasted sour bread on the side. The campos cappuccino was nice though not hot enough fort personal liking and came with lotus biscoff on the side. The café itself is quiet and quaint looking inside and for the mums out there, there is a fenced off play area to put your little ones in the play inside while you enjoy your coffee with your girlfriends. The prices are reasonable for the area and having been open only 4 days, this is a definite place to try for breakfast. The customer service was excellent and staff friendly and I was supposed at how quick my food arrived. Do visit people and support this newly opened café, I know I’ll be back :)
