Elegant, romantic, classy are just a few words to describe this new player in Parkside. The décor is fresh and crisp with a black, white and chrome theme throughout, white linen table cloths, dark chocolate padded dining chairs which are placed around any configuration of tables, a series of framed prints along the wall, a gleeming chrome coffee machine sitting on the front counter. And I like the white walls and black ceiling, it does have lots of downlights which creates a wonderful ambience, but there are candles also to soften the mood even further.
Much like an inter continental hotel without Humphrey Bogart and for those of you who’ve just read this and thought ‘Humphrey who?’ look up Casablanca on the internet and you’ll get the picture. Lights, candles, action and the scene is set for a perfect night with an Italian foody. A fine selection of refridgerated wines on display for your perusal to accomodate the sumptuous Italian menu.
Recently opened and doing all the right things a service industry doesn’t do… accept patron opinions for room for improvement and listening to the customers needs. The later is almost impossible as most people have differing ideas but Puccini’s is certainly on the right track, a commendable position other cafes and resturants should take notice of.
