GETTHEBREKKYWRAP, SKIPTHECRONUT. I walked to this little spot early this morning for brekky. I chose them for their reviews and for the fact that they opened at 7:00 a.m. Wide awake with jet-lag, this was perfect for me bright and early. I ate and really enjoyed their Brekky Wrap: fluffy scrambled eggs, arugla, thick bacon, and some sort of smoky bbq sauce/aioli. I paid an extra dollar($ 10 total) to add mushrooms, which made the wrap sooooo savory and filling, but still felt fresh. I also ordered a caramel macademia nut cronut(yay, we’re all mad for cronuts, even down under!)– it was served cold, it was very, very sugary and soft. Not the best cronut I’ve ever had, but I ate the whole thing anyway(it was almost $ 5, too much sugar or no, that had to be eaten up). The three guys running the shop were nice, although they seemed a little perplexed by everything I asked about(Yes, I want to have some breakfast, why are you looking at me all panicked?) But they were friendly and unpretentious, and I didn’t wait long at all for my food, my bill, etc. When I paid, by card, the guy at the register handed me back cash change, which was meant for the customer standing next to me, which was pretty funny. They all seemed a little flustered this morning although it wasn’t very busy, just a steady stream of one or two people at a time.

After not being able to get into Circa and seeing the wait at Paper Planes my husband and and I strolled down to Badmanner Thymes for breakfast. We chose to eat outside, mainly because the smell of cooking oil was very strong inside, but also it was a nice day(the outdoor heathers were great for when the sun moved though). Waitress was chatty and chilled(maybe a little too chatty and chilled when she stood and talked to a guy at another table for a good 15 mins!). I had the breakfast burrito which was ok, there was a sweetness to it that was a bit overwhelming. It could have been the aioli or the relish, but I only got through half. It was also a bit oily. Husband had the eggs Benedict, he said it was fine but the coffee was burnt. To be fair, there is about one café on the planet that he has said he liked the coffee at, so it has to be exceptional for him to be happy! All in all, if given the choice I’d head to Paper Planes across the road, but a fair backup if needed.

This place rules its not part of the busy side of parramatta so it’s very chilled. I’ve had Bad luck recently finding good places to eat or some nice coffee but this place takes the cake I was so impressed with the very friendly staff particularly the lady owner she was so helpful! she put a bowl of water out for my dogg(no typo) and he appreciated it because it was one of those hot 30 °C summer days. the food was made very nicely it was displayed very nicely. I’ve never had a Haloumi that tasted that nice in my life, the watermelon juice was so nice and I regret not ordering coconut juice. I got a piccolo latte but i really want to try out their chai latte too. anyway I think if you get the chance to go here you really should because you will definitely not be disappointed I know I will definitely be going back your time and time again. Ordered: Panfried salmon with pumpkin and macadamia salad topped with mango salsa Grilled Haloumi chicken salad Cold press watermelon juice Piccolo latte All was delicious

I’ve wanted to go to paper and plane on the other side of the street but when I saw that it was packed I just moved along and saw this place I was intrigued by its setting. It had two separated rooms but still connect to each other. While I was checking out their menu a young lady greeted me and let me know of the backboard menu as well. She was upfront friendly with top notch service. I can also say this place is vegan friendly. I would like to come back and try their beef bulgogi and kimchi burger sounds very interesting

Every time I go here, the café is fairly quiet… I think because it is new and in a lower traffic area. But the coffee is beautiful! The café is a spinoff from Badmanner Café in Paddington, with Tulip Shi coffee. The owner is incredibly friendly, and remembers me when I come for coffee. I have found my new coffee spot! Badmanner Thymes Espresso has some great specials on the trendy cronut, with variations including cinnamon, chocolate crumble flavour and classic sugar glazed. There will be a new menu soon for breakfast and lunch, which looks promising. The décor is warm and welcoming, with comfortable indoor tables and outdoor seating with heaters. You can order from the range of specialty teas including the classic English Breakfast, or the strong and earthy Pu-erh, or just grab a coffee to go. If you work in the area, Badmanner Thymes Espresso is definitely worth the extra minute walk away.
