A standard no-frills chicken joint. Does a good value quarter chicken, chips and a drink for $ 6.95. The chicken won’t blow you mind but the chips are nice. It’s pretty much what you pay for is what you get and that will leave you satisfied. The outdoor seating area leaves a lot to be desired, with some of the chairs only a heartbeat away from collapsing, especially given the size of some of their clientele, and the area generally being stalked by pigeons looking to cannibalise some of their kin or grab a stray chip. So it’s probably best to do takeaway…

This place is a victim of its own success. A year ago I would have given it 5 stars and said it was one of the best kept secrets in Parramatta. Unfortunately the secret is out and the quality of the food has suffered as a result. The used to make all their wraps fresh in front of you and you could specify what you wanted on there. Now, due to increased demands, all the wraps are pre made and they just throw them under the sandwich press to warm them up when you order them. Same with the chicken — they obviously make big batches well in advance and unfortunately there are lots of overcooked bits. It’s still the tastiest flame grilled chook in Parramatta with awesome sauce but its just not as good as it used to be. There is a small outdoor dining area which normally seats about 20 customers and about 100 pigeons. Not bad if you can find a seat and just want some time out of the office but the birds may drive you nuts!

Went there during lunch time on a weekday with another colleague. Ordered the quarter chicken and chips with a can of drink for $ 6.50. The chicken was burnt and the skin was coated with a layer of charcoal. A scan of the stockpiled chicken indicated that all the pieces had suffered the same fate. The meat itself was tender but the burnt skin and lack of any love whatsoever in the collation of the meal made the experience substandard. The restaurant used to serve really good chicken but in recent times have unfortunately raised their prices whilst dropping their standards. The service has consistently been poor to begin with but that was forgivable given the amazing chicken. Sadly as of late the quality of food is on par with its service. In terms of space there is seating for less than 20 people but it is adequate for a quick lunch. The fit out is basic at best but most meals are ordered for takeaway. Overall the price for the meal deal is a fantastic bargain for what you get on paper but given what you get in reality it will be a while before I venture back there.
