The Roxy Hotel

The winner here is the ambience. It feels like you’re in a night club castle, a castle of great fun. The airy ambience outside is just stunning. No doubt the best bar in Parra. It has to be. Love it outdoors, especially on a Spring or Summer evening.
Pretty cool bar service, and the drinks are crazy cheap. Think a massive glass of lemon, lime and bitters for only $ 3 a pop. And they don’t overdo it on the ice like many of the city based bars do. Love the beds that you can sit on outside, and they come with matching white pillows too. That and plants, you’re in simple paradise. They have a coffee barista service here too. And pool tables. The bistro is also quite neat with great cheap grub.
For me, the cheap prices and the ambience with better than expected service is a clear winner. Oh, and the toilets are clean too.

The Roxy has it all, good food, atmosphere, full bar, and night club.

I like Roxy for one reason, and one reason only. The décor.
They have palm trees! Anything that makes any space look even remotely like a tropical island, gives me shivers of pleasure. Probably to do with nostalgia.
Wooden tables and chairs outside (I love wooden furniture), palm trees, and a clear view of the skies… it’s wonderful. And romantic, if the crowd isn’t being too rowdy.
Which it invariably always is. The crowd is what detracts a bit from Roxy’s ambience, for me. They’re altogether too loud, rambunctious, and uncultured for my liking.
Although, the music is good, and the drinks are relatively cheap, so the crowd is tolerable (or rather, ignore-​able) if I go there with a bunch of friends to keep me occupied.
On the plus side, happy hour is from 4−6pm, Monday through Thursday.
