I work around the area and very often see Caffissimo filled with old people. Don’t get me wrong, but I always thought they don’t really have good taste in hot beverages– or maybe they do. So I decided to come in and have a look around thinking I should probably get some lunch. But $ 19.00 for a salad, mannnn I can get the whole ingredients from a supermarket for less than $ 10.00 and eat it at home! Anyway, I had a mocha and asked for a warm one. Instead, my first sip burnt my tongue. Seriously, it’s not hard to make a warm coffee. But what’s nice about it is that the café is very multicultural, seeing the staff coming from a different background. I saw two girls speaking in Italian, the other ones speaking in Hebrew, and this one guy just stays there trying to blend in but he couldn’t coz he only speaks English. So yeah, it’s awright. Not desperate to come back though.

I know it is in an art gallery but the prices are quite steep. The food is really good however I had a really nice toasted sandwich, which came with a salad which is always nice, although I kind of wish they had taken the price of the salad of my sandwich rather than giving it to me. The coffee was nice, nothing to rave about but fairly good.

Caffissimo is a great and convenient place to go to after your visit at the gallery, many times my friends and I have stopped by afterwards to rest our feet and get either something cold or warm to drink. The set up is very modern almost a continuation of the gallery with its large white counter, bright lights and square architecture, if you want some fresh air there is also covered seating outside to get you out of the scorching sun. Food and drink wise their soy Chai lattes are particularly nice not too sweet and they don’t have that horrible fake after taste and their little treats like their coconut and raspberry friands are amazing. Great little café in a great location.
