Cult Status

This review is for the online shopping service offered by Cult Status (webpage). I’ve now ordered a couple of items from Cult Status and I have to say that I have ALWAYS been extremely happy and thrilled with the service. The staff always email you the status of your order, including that it’s been packaged up and tracking or postage details. Not only is the communication FANTASTIC! but on a recent order, the girls found that the bag that I had ordered had some flaws, they sent me lots of detailed photos and offered me a further discount. They were so friendly and helpful I couldn’t have been more please with the level of service I received. Perfect if you need a designer fix but can’t get to Perth or even can’t get your preferred designer in your local area. (Come on Brissy help a girl get her YSL on!!) Big thumbs up.

This place is simultaneously awesome and awful, depending on your status. The awesome thing about this store is that they sell designer bags, shoes, jewellery and accessories. The awful thing about this store is that they sell designer bags, shoes, jewellery and accessories.
Because, of course, designer products (if you’re into that kind of thing) are awesome, the price tags, however, are not.
Cult Status really only appeals to Perth’s rich: the people we see named and photographed in the ‘society’ pages of the STM. Or someone that’s just won the lottery. Or someone that’s saved for a year to shop there. Cos the stuff they have is impressive, but when an Alexander McQueen silk scarf is going to knock you back $ 650, well… Unless you really have that money to burn, you’re better off shopping elsewhere.

Woah nelly! Hold onto your credit cards! This store is the leader of the pack when it comes to luxury designer ware. A two story high-​end fashion boutique with glorious polished wooden floor boards, Cult Status is located right next door to my favourite hair dresser, Head Studio. Talk about killing two birds with one stone! It’s the kind of store that fashion-​fanatics walk past and lustfully and imagine that yes, that Balenciaga Motorcycle bag really will improve my quality of life and serve as an extension of my psyche. The items here are designed to be status symbols. They stock a range of both international and local designers, some with yes, a cult status, but also some relative new comers. I spied beautiful YSL wallets, intricate jewellery by New Zealand label Deadly Ponies, those signature Alexander McQueen skull scarves, handmade Grecian sandals and purses by Alexander Wang. The ladies who work here are charming too, so although these items are well out of my price range, I didn’t feel unworthy of such fashionable elitists. Check it out for a bit of day-​dreaming or an investment piece to add to your wardrobe.

Cult Status can be compared to Angelina Jolie; ferociously hot, smart, a little bit edgy and totally out of your league. Shopping here is bound to make you feel inadequate, that’s unless you can afford the delicious array of designer leather handbags, sexy shoes and lust-​worthy costume jewellery.

The sleek, two-​storey store boasts a refined edit of luxury wares by YSL, Alexander McQueen, Proenza Schcouler, Lanvin, Alexander Wang and Givenchy — all the ‘cult’ labels essentially.
They also stock the best selection of Balenciaga motorcycle bags around, in all versions of colour, size and hardware detailing…*drool*
Cult Status is Aspirational shopping at it’s sexiest.
