Too much hype about this place in the other reviews. I ordered an expensive breakfast entrée, chorizo and white bean shukshuka, and it was bland with nary a helping of chorizo in sight. Service was uneven and actually not too friendly, which was odd for me, as most of Australia has been more than friendly. This place seems to have a hipster attitude. It’s a great location, and has a very nice ambiance, just not up to what it might be. I’d look elsewhere for breakfast in Port Douglas.

Quick service, fantastic drinks menu and the sandwiches are worth having to walk all day to work them off! Between us we had: The Plougmans — full of flavor, crunchy bread and ripe tomatoes The Philli Cheese — tasty, satisfied the hangry one The Cajun Chicken — excellent definitely recommend! The staff were friendly and chatty Must try while you’re here!

Try Lantern Fish — their ‘fish and chips’ down the street. Top seafood laksa, or grilled coral trout with wasabi coleslaw. Eat there(BYO) or take away. Wonderful.

A well oiled machine. The waitresses were so efficient which is required for this busy restaurant. Good value of money, good variety of options for breakfast and enjoyable. Lost a point for forgetting part of the order but a minor bleep really.

Beautiful sandwiches. Not your standard menu board. We had a Cajun chicken and Rueben. Doubt you would be disappointed with anything on the menu as it was a tough choice, they all sounded great.

During the Quuensland portion of our tour of Australia, this was a real gem of a find for breakfast and light lunch. A little context: it’s hot and humid every day and it’s a good idea to get in a solid meal before the days’s activities and heat settles in. I had the Eggs Your Way and a smoothie(banana or strawberry) every day. The missus went for poached eggs and mochaccino. Everything was delicious. We were regulars for our entire 5 day stay in Port Douglas. And we weren’t the only ones. There were other visitors who randomly or Unilocal walked in and came back on subsequent days.

Found these guys on the second day in Port Douglas and immediately became regulars — think we had two lunches and two breakfast ina four day stay! All the food is awesome — the breakfasts were fantastic, including a Onsie which is basically one egg, one tomato and one slice of bacon, for the ladies, and the pulled pork tacos were seriously to die for. Great coffee, good food, good sounds, great service — can’t go wrong.

Came for lunch and had a beef cheek sandwich while the wife had the pulled pork sandwich. The beef cheek was a bit gamey for me but was balanced well with the horseradish and red onion while the pulled pork sandwich was a little dry and I’ve never been a fan of cole slaw but the wife seemed to like it. The place gets extra points for being a more contemporary(or trendy?) offering in Port Douglas with menu items like confit duck and vietnamese banh mi sandwiches among other non-sandwhich items and I would certainly put it «in the rotation» if here for a couple days or more.

Probably the better breakfast option. Their Bircher muesli is pretty excellent, coffee good, which I couldn’t say about most of the places on this little strip. Large cues though. But not for nothing.

Our favourite eat spot in Port Douglas for breakfast and lunch. Great service, great food and even better coffee. Only downside is its popularity but they have a good system of managing the tables to minimise wait times.

Great food here, and coffee too. Simple, Rustic, Tasty! We were there for a late breakfast… I had a tomato, chorizo, salsa type dish with poached egg and toast.(I added avocado) — yum! Even though it was busy, the wait staff were well organized and friendly. You have to visit this place if you are in Port Douglas.

Wow. Amazing breakfasts that perfectly hit the spot. We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday and while the place was busy, the service was excellent. The pulled pork soft tacos were a standout and everything on the smoked salmon and avo breakfast was perfect. So many other things on the menu caught my eye — The Little Larder seems to have a balance between healthy and decadent, so you can choose according to your mood. They have fresh juices to help you beat the heat. Nice work, Little Larder. After a healthy breakfast, I’m hoping to make it back for the Reuben for lunch! ***Edit*** We came back for another visit and I ordered the almond croissant with a side of the house made nutella. It was straight up amazing. Well played Little Larder.

Very cute little spot along the main road in Port douglas. We had our breakfast outside on the patio, facing the street. We enjoyed the Salmon and Avocado on Ciabatta. Surprisingly, they are not stingy on the salmon. He enjoyed the French Toast but was not a fan of the sweet mixed berries that were mixed into the batter. There was also this very delicious sparkling drink that would could not find anywhere else!
