History
Established in 2010.
Gatecrashing its way into über chic Greville St in July 2010, ArtBoy Gallery’s sole mission is to promote and sell affordable Melbourne-based artists work in a more ‘retail-geared’ gallery environment. You can be as loud as the artwork on the walls if you wish! Along side solo exhibitions for our stabled artists, we also have created a unique series of ‘fan art’ exhibitions called ‘FanBoy vs ArtBoy’. ‘FanBoy’ is a pop-culture reference used to describe someone so passionate about a single hobby that it becomes an obsession — generally videogames, comic book and movies. Obsession can also lead these fans into producing some AMAZING artwork! Our very first FanBoy exhibition resulted in a feature segment on a national gaming TV show. With such diversity in the pop culture world, FanBoy vs. ArtBoy has only scratched the surface and the possible themes for future exhibitions are endless.
