Aren’t I a lucky ducky? Mizu is 2 minutes away from my home!
Mizu is a chic yet casual Japanese returant that serves a vast array of Japanese fare.
I adore everything from the miso soup to the edamame to the amazing sashimi set.
This place is a definite must
I love the cory yet feeling with lovely staff that acommodated to every one of our requests. This place will be a regular!

I REALLY wanted to like this place. The staff is friendly but they could not make up for the mediocre food. We ordered the tofu with miso — miso paste overload! I had the buta kakuni — sodium overload and a sauce thick like molasses. High blood pressure! Chicken hot pot — not enough flavor! At least the white rice was decent. Sigh…

Mizu is remarkably like every other little Japanese restaurant around. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. It’s not outrageously wonderful, but it’s consistently good… I’ve never had a bad anything here.
The edamame is tasty, the gyoza fresh and the sushi just as it should be.
What I will say however, is that there are two places in Melbourne that I consider to have vastly superior miso and this is one of them. Order it to go and get it in a takeaway coffee cup. Yum!
