I stopped in for a coffee and can reiterate that the service is very friendly. My coffee was really good and high quality. I tried a long mac inside — good! I then got a FW and a latte for takeaway and on a cold Melbourne morning, my latte was delicious.
I didn’t try the food but would like to on my return.

I love this new addition to Hawksburn… The girls who run it are really welcoming, and they make a mean soy flat white! Great laid back atmosphere too. Visiting has become a Saturday morning ritual.

Here is a solid little café in the heart of Hawksburn village. Good for what it needs to be; a place for the few local corporates and ladies who lunch to grab a coffee and a biscuit. I had poached eggs with smashed avocado, chipotle corn and chorizo. It was nicely spiced and corn played well in the dish. I wasn’t planning to eat the bread, but sourdough was crisped to perfection and abundantly buttered, so I ate both pieces with much shame. The coffee is only okay otherwise I would have rated it higher. Not a ton of places to sit either. Friendly service, though. Will be back.
