Pyrmont has always had one or two decent cafés. At one point there were 5 but due to ppl selling, the bar has been lowered… Apart from this place! They are raising the bar more than just a few notches. The owner is here 24⁄7 ensuring everything goes to plan. After being here 2⁄3 times he knows my name and coffee order… then haven’t been here for months and he remembers as if he is an elephant or something. The coffee is Morgans and he is one of few guys bringing out the best in Morgans coffee. The food is consistently amazing and if you walk in look out for the mini breaky puff pastries. Seriously good coffee and service. Keep up the good work!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and coffee while apartment hunting. The sandwiches are all listed on a chalkboard(all $ 9-$ 11), with plenty of interesting options to choose from. I had the hot and spicy sandwich(chorizo, sun dried tomatoes, jalapenos, and cheese) and my wife had the italiano(pesto, italian meats, sun-dried tomatoes, and arugula). When ordering you have the option of four different kinds of bread which are helpfully laid out as a point of reference. I chose the ciabatta and she had the rosemary. After sitting on the cute sidewalk seating for a spell, the sandwiches arrived and I must say we were both impressed. The bread was excellent and toasted to perfection, and the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully included. Both sandwiches were excellent, and it left us a strong desire to come back and try more. One interesting thing is on using the toilet, you are basically entering what I presume is the owners upstairs apartment, complete with a shower that is obviously being used currently. Don’t get me wrong, everything was well maintained and clean, but it was just a bit of an odd experience.

I think this is a place for artists. Or cool kids. Or both. It’s just got the right amount of quirk. Hipster guys running about the place filled with artistic touches. There are quotes from Winston Churchill on the wall and art for sale. The coffee ain’t bad too! All in all, a stylish yet relaxed place to sit and sip.
