Outstanding food. Service was good for a busy Wednesday night. Waiter was polite and very helpful. Highly recommended. I’d suggest making a booking for weekends.

Great Food. Better view. Better service. Such a fantastic place for dinner. It’s also BYO which is nice for a change! Honestly, the best Italian in Brisbane. Give it a go but definitely make a reservation in advance.

Really like this restaurant. Great food and an amazing location at Redcliffe. If you like Italian food then you should try this place.

The menu available is huge. There is something for every taste and budget making it a very affordable meal out. My main meal(penne alla vodka) was very average for the price and the cassata dessert was a big disappointment. The others I dined with(5 friends) were happy with their meals though. Unfortunately the service was mediocre and seating outside is cramped and seating is uncomfortable. Our entrees were quick to come out, but the speed and service ended there. Not once were we asked if we wanted more drinks, we had to chase the waitress up and even then she would only take one persons order before leaving. It was almost an hour between entrees arriving and mains being served. Our plates were cleared from our mains and after 15 minutes of being ignored, had to chase up the waitress to see the dessert menu and she didn’t even take everyone’s dessert order before disappearing and we had to chase up another waitress to put in the remainder of the tables order. The two coffees ordered were very slow to come out and despite telling the waitress we had finished for the night and waiting 15 minutes, we had to chase the bill up. A disappointing experience given the good reviews I have heard of the place, so I would be willing to give it another shot in the future.

Imagine finding a restaurant that delighted you beyond your wildest expectations, leaving you wanting to visit again. Well, welcome to The Rustic Olive … easily one of the finest Italian restaurants in North Brisbane. Recently, I visited The Rustic Olive for the first time, and what an experience! The atmosphere was charming and lively, yet, suitable for small or large bookings; the staff were friendly and the service was professional and timely. The food itself was authentic, delicious and moorish! My pasta was perfectly cooked and the portion sizes were generous… and I mean generous! I also sampled an Underbelly — a «Gourmet Pizza» made with a thin crust and a flavoursome array of meat toppings. However, there was a lovely selection of rustic style favourites, for those in favour of a more«traditional» pizza, such as Margherita or a Napolitana(See«Traditional Rustic Pizza» on menu). Other menu options include«Bread», «Salads», Risotto” and«Mains» — all equally delectable. And if you have a sweet tooth, then it will be almost impossible to pass by the«Dessert» e.g. Tiramisu or Panna Cotta. I highly recommend the Pecan Pie with cream or maybe a bite of nougat to take home for later. I have no doubt that The Rustic Olive will become one of my favourite restaurants to take friends and family to for a wonderful dining experience. And, I am just grateful that it was recommended to me.

Ladies and gentlemen, here it is, the one the only, the most consistently on point value for money Italian restaurant around. May I present to you The Rustic Olive. Let me first stress that this place is hot. If you want to sit down for dinner and enjoy the bay views and sea air, book, even a day in advance. Trust me, its one of those places whose seating spreads out into neighbouring café’s for dinner service. When I take visitors their, they’re never disappointed. The Rustic Olive does great pizzas and pastas. In both cases the servings are generous and fulfilling. However, aside from the typical and expected, The Rustic Olive also does an array of traditional Italian dishes like Scaloppine Campagnola and Chicken Valentino. Its these dishes that I go out for because it’s hard to find an local Italian restaurant that serves these. My favourite dish on the menu is the Tuscan Chicken that is flamed in brandy. My lord, for under $ 20 for this main it is well worth the drive out for.
