Easy Way Tea

Bubble Tea??? The first time I heard of Bubble tea, I imagined a fizzy cool iced tea drink. I was tempted and decided to try it out at the first bubble tea shop I could find.
Easy Way Tea are franchises selling the very popular Bubble teas. The menu was confusing, they had green teas, black teas, milk teas, smoothies, shakes and everything can be combined with different fruit flavours and toppings.
After 5 minutes of contemplation, I decided to try my favourite Peach flavour green tea with Pearls. Now these pearly Bubbles are not Fizz! They are actually Black balls that sit at the bottom of the drink. They are made of Tapioca and taste a bit like gummy bears. It’s very chewy and in every sip, you’re bound to get at least 3 pearls.
The lady behind the counter was very patient while I choose my drink and even helped me punch a hole. Apparently you need to smash the straw in, because if you gently poke it, the tea just oozes out and creates a mess.
Bubbles as established are not bubbly and best avoided if you just want a drink. However, I can see why kids love the bubbles though, it’s fun to shoot them through the straw. The tea by itself tastes wonderful and I will be back for more, just minus the bubbles.
