Quirky, be as it may, this little«resort» in the gorgeous, understated Mornington Peninsula area would surprise you. It’s old… yes, it is. It does look like a stinkin’ motel from the outside, yes to that too. However, once a person follows the meandering path past the various small units, welcome to a pleasure pit of mini mini-golf, a pool, a private sauna room, a lounge with free coffee and tea, large flat screen, couches for the chillax… Too, there is a large covered area for large reunions or groups to do some work over the barbie, and to sit around long benches to eat outside. That was certainly a nice touch. There is a restaurant on premises, and all in all, it’s the outside amenities that makes this place a very private, quiet place to stay in Rye. I wish I had remembered to take photos, but was too relaxed to remember… sipping on some coffee, drying up after a long double soad in the hot tub… having walked from the pier back to Whitecliffs. Day usage permitted for timeshare owners, and for now, no wifi, save if you stand with your device right at the check-in office(uh.awkward!). They told me that they’re working on getting that up to the premises. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but there is spilling-over charm to be experienced here. for the quieter crowd, I would imagine.
