Soak Bathecary

Soak is one body, bath and perfume parlour that you do not want to drive past! I should know seeing as how I drove past hundreds of times before eventually I got to wondering what the place was like. Located on Mount Dandenong Tourist Road in Sassafras, it is easy to miss the small shop tucked up just a few doors down from the well-​known Miss Marples Tea Room, but I implore you to persist in finding it!
I was one of those annoying customers who turns up right as the shop is just opening but the lady manning the store (how’s that for a pun) was lovely and welcomed me in anyway. The store itself was beautiful and it was all I could do not to buy everything in sight. Delicious fruity fragrances came from every direction but were by no means overwhelming — it was just the right mix.
Almost every product carefully lined up on polished wooden shelves had a tester open and by the time I left my hands were moisturized, my wrists perfumed and my nose smelt out. It was fantastic. Amongst the delicate table decorations I found my favourite item, which was a very simple, but no less wonderful, summer strawberry soap bar at just $ 2.50. Can’t you just feel sunshine when you read that label? No? Maybe you need to smell it for yourself.
The store is open from 10 – 5 every day of the week although sometimes they will stay open until 5.30 depending on how busy it is.
