Always been a fan of the Kenny’s chain — good for a fast and cheap ‘on the go’ lunch in town, and the lines that form at lunchtime tell you there’s plenty of other fans around too. Was almost deterred from visiting this Southbank store because of such a huge snaking line, however they had so many staff on working like madmen that I had my Vietnamese Pork bread roll in my hand in no time at all. The other rolls might also be good, but I can never go past the Pork bread roll(with chilli) so I really can’t say!

Perfect for a cheap, speedy roll or soup. You will be served faster than Subway, often for less coin and with seemingly fresher ingredients. You can also eat in as you flick through a well worn mag or tune into The View. Check the board for the soup of the day, it will run you $ 6 with a roll(take away) or lash out and pay an extra dollar to eat in. This is not a destination café, you are not here for the décor or ambiance. It is a handy place to refuel. Should you need a drink or a sweet cake to finish, they have these too.
