Wonderful, hidden breakfast and coffee spot along a quiet street. Nice, warm and inviting. Great food and, as to be expected in Australia, excellent coffee. I ordered the Aussie classic of smashed avocado toast with poached egg. So simple and yet so delicious.

If you are after a hidden gem just off the southbank strip this is the place. It is in a great building, has a great feel and is always busy. Was a frequent visit when living and working in southbank. Quite jealous who live in this building. The coffee is alright — i do tend to find it too burnt for my tastes but it is full bodied — which is a plus. It is a great spot to work, study and cruise!

I’ve ridden past this stretch of street so many times before, and it was something that I never noticed. Early one morning I saw a bunch of chairs outside and it clicked. My observational skills are questionable on this occasion as it took about 4 months to notice it. Good for breakfast, lunch and a pit stop mid afternoon meet some one for a glass of vino destination. It reminds me of something that would occupy London down by the old part of the docks area. It also wouldn’t be out of place in a New York loft high ceiling/old factory type setting. Having not been to New york, it is with all possibility that I may be wrong in this instance. The Bond Store has a cool feel to it, a little dark and historic, there’s not much like the sitting within these walls.

My husband and I were on holiday/vacation and felt lucky to read the single positive review on this restaurant. It was very close to our hotel and we thought we would drop in for breakfast. What a treat! The interior is so cool! It was restored by those who appreciate history, and felt well-kept and clean. Everything on the menu was great(we went there for breakfast twice). You can tell it’s an excellent place for a business breakfast or lunch, but we didn’t feel out of place in our comfortable travel clothes either. Friendly staff too! I felt like I stumbled upon a well kept secret as it’s on a narrow road, tucked behind the Southbank Promenade.

This is a great tucked-away location near Eureka Tower, located in a historic blue-stone building. It’s only open for brekkie and lunch during the week, but has had very good food on my previous visits. The coffees were good too. It primarily caters to the business-oriented breakfast and lunch crowd from the Southbank area.
