Outback Jacks Bar & Grill Southport

Probably the worst service you could possibly receive on the Gold Coast. Rung 3x to make booking they Hung up on me twice. My sons meal sausage and chips the sausage was raw in the middle. Had to ask for menu and the bill 4 x. Food was average, service nonexistent you couldn’t pay me to go back.

Go to the Southport RSL instead! Very slow service and incompetent staff. The servings are huge but it’s more of a case of quantity over quality and that doesn’t justify the high price of the dishes. I ordered a dish with a mild sauce and was served the hottest sauce and ended-​up almost burning my mouth off! I don’t want to sound rude and/​or presumptuous but the staff working here may be tourists or backpackers and don’t seem to really care for good customer service. We were only asked if we would like more drinks once another member of our table ordered a drink and not once were we asked how our meals were. The other thing which makes me think this place needs a huge staff reorganisation is that when I booked I was told we’d have sit inside because the outside area was all booked-​out. When we finished our meal we walked through the outside area and there were a few tables that, throughout the evening, were empty which we could have easily sat at. So, like the start of this review states, go to the RSL a few minutes drive away and get much better service and value for money!

The service was a little slow to start off. But the meals were very good. Typical steakhouse restaurant. Try the drovers bread for a starter. Very good with lashings of butter
