Tidy looking asian takeaway franchise with some concessions in the Brisbane entertainment book. My wife and her bestie went to utilize the offer for one complimentary main with another of the same value. She ordered a special fried rice with no onions or shallots. There was an apparent communication issue with the person taking the order. So Cass went over the request five times.
On getting home the fried rice had capsicum and beans not featured on the menu board, but devoid of shrimp that was the motivation for the order. So we called the store to advise them and sort the matter out. We had to ask to get the meal replaced and were greeted with negatively, particularly from the cook who claimed Cass ordered only onions and shallots (which made little sense given what she’d sent out). Disturbingly the gentleman contested the voucher saying they were only honored on Mondays, but then recanted saying they could be used any day of the week but with no changes and they were costing too much money. Given onions can put my wife in hospital we questioned this. But were told no that was that from here on in.
So the meal gets begrudgingly replaced and we head home. On opening it’s burnt, low on key ingredients and with an overzealous helping of soy sauce.
We’ve enjoyed meals from here in the past but their competition will be enjoying our patronage from this point forward.
