The service here is actually one of the best i have experienced. The place was tidy and cozy, and the food is undeniably tasty, I would recommend the beef noodle soup and salt and pepper squid.

Have been wanting to try this restaurant but could never pull myself away from all the Korean options in Strathfield!
We had the salt and pepper eggplant, tamarind prawns with special fried rice. The dishes were nice and flavoursome, but nothing to rave about.

This is my first review of this place even though I have been here a few times already. I have tried the Pad Thai, Soft Shell Crab, Beef Curry and fried ice cream. All of them did not disappoint. This place is my go to Thai restaurant in the Strathfield area.

No witty pun to be seen in this Thai restaurant name (à la Thairiffic, En Thai Sing, Thai tanic).
Maonam just serves up great hearty and satisfying dishes and a healthy dose of relaxing ambiance.
Been here a dozen times and have never gone wrong with food choices– reminiscent of the well known Holy Basil or Green Peppercorn down south. Waiters are sometimes a bit new and timid but I can see them getting more confident. Kitchen is definitely experienced though.
The curries hit the spot– try the massaman or red duck curry!
If you’re a local come for a break from the vast number of Korean Restaurants or if you live further come for some really quality Thai food that exceeds expectations.

This is my first review so go easy one me, also I think this place deserves a spot on Unilocal so others can find out!
One of the better Thai restaurants around area especially since there are so many Korean restaurants in strathfield. This is probably my 3rd time here and every time it has been great. They have your typical red and green curry also your pad Thai and pad see ew and different types of meat. For the ones that prefer Thai salads they also do them very well. The price isn’t too expensive, like most other Thai restaurants which is good for your wallet!
Definitely will come back if I’m sick of Korean food!
