I do like any excuse for a good gozleme, and today we were in Subi Stn markets and were a bit peckish. We decided to split a potato goz between us. It was freshly made(as all goz should be!) And after 10 mins a piping hot plate was handed over. Normally the pastry on a goz is substantial enough that there is no need for utensils so i just grabbed serviettes. This was a bit of a mistake… as the goz was piping, searing volcanic hot! And whilst the pastry was deliciously light, it made it quite difficult to pick up the pieces with your fingers since it flopped everywhere. This was probably the worst part, and could have been solved by getting forks! The filling was very nice, not to spicy snd the spinach, potatoe and cheese was all in the right ratios. Definately top 10 in my goz list, and if the pastry had been a little more substantial would have rated 5 stars.
