If Subiaco Markets opened on a Monday only, I’d look forward to going to work at the start of each week JUST because I know that for lunch is the best Indian take-away food at the cheapest prices. $ 8 for 1 meat curry, 1 veggie curry and rice with a popadom — bargain — and bloody fantastic. Try the meat samosas — but if you beat me to the last one I’ll be furious! :)

Pappadums is a sensational Indian restaurant. I have only been twice but both times have been amazing. I can’t really think of anything negative to say about this place, other than it was so tasty that I ate to the point of sickness, well not quite but pretty darn close. I had an amazing veggie curry, I think that is one of the reasons I like Indian food so much, so many vegetarian options!

Its not very hard to attract customers when you are an Indian restaurant. The smells of meats, spices and breads draws me in and leaves me staring at menus. I am a big Indian food fan and this place did not let me down. Curry curry curry curry everywhere, there is no avoiding. Try the lamb curry with the spinach if you need a warm meal. If you are after a snack, well try anything, they’re all great.

Good curry for hardly any money? I was sold at ‘curry’, but the not much money thing seals the deal. I am definitely a fan of Pappadums. It’s got to be one of the most tantalising smells on the Subiaco Market food court, and you can’t help but follow your nose to this tiny Indian food stall. Once there, you discover a veritable feast of Indian delights — lamb, beef, chicken and fish curries, several different vegetable curries and dahl. The only problem is choosing which to have. You can get one meat and one vegetable curry with rice for $ 8 — that’s for a ‘small’ portion, but it’s more than enough. The vegetable curries are especially good, particularly the pumpkin, potato and eggplant curries. As an Indian food fiend, I heartily recommend Pappadums.
