Tea has certainly undergone a 21st revival, with the beverage no longer just a favourite at the senior citizens’ club. T2’s gone and modernised the drink with sleek packaging, but if what you’re after is a more traditional affair, then check out Tea for Me. Houses within the gloriously out of place yet intriguingly quaint London Court in Perth’s CBD, the alley way’s architectural features continue on inside this charming retailer. The store smells like a maharaja’s kitchen, with tea leaves from all over the world climbing up your nostrils and sending your brain into a sensory frenzy. There’s loads of flavours to choose from, sourced from China, India, Sri Lanka and Africa. I recommend choosing anything by the brand Miesna, and if you can score anything with coconut in it-​buy 3!

I feel like this shop should have a ‘please’ at the end of it to add to its charming English atmosphere. They do not only sell tea here but also various accessories that make for lovely little gifts.
I was told in her by a lovely member of staff that all of the tea leaves are hand chosen by the owner himself as he travels to exotic destinations (sounds like a hard-​life). From what I can tell, this man knows his tea and I can only trust his judgement. It works.

Speciality tea stores are a new thing on my radar since moving to Perth, and Tea For Me is one of my favourites. I adore the aroma that hits you as soon as you walk into this little tea shop, and the sight of their beautiful old style tea boxes literally makes me happy!
They really know their stuff in here. They don’t deal with agents or packing houses when sourcing their product. The shop’s owner personally travels around small tea farms in China, Sri Lanka and India to taste test the leaves and source the best tea available.
They have tea in all sorts of flavours, with uses to cure all sorts of ailments, as well as ones that just taste nice! They also have beautiful china pots and cups to really put the cherry on top of your tea drinking experience.
Put the kettle on love!
