Great coffees and iced tea ! If you’re lucky you might get to try some of the herbal filtered iced tea which is so delicious ! The food menu lacks variety though, the owners make the coffee so gotta love the personal touch of service !

Fresh juice is worth its weight in gold, I reckon and these guys came to the party. The relaxed café in Subi has a great vibe and the food looked amazing. I met a couple of other Unilocalers for coffee one afternoon and could have easily let the afternoon run away from me. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Fresh juices are a must order here and I’ll be going back to try out their food. Next time I’ll make sure I’ve got more time so I can settle in and eat and drink to my hearts content.

Coffee is good but milk tends to be overheated. Maybe best suited for espressos only

Popped in here a few times and the coffee is delicious. Friendly staff, even chatted to the owner for a while to get our coffee just right! Particular favourite is the cold drip coffee!

Fresh juices, gluten-free goodies, more-ish bagels and healthy salads — good, varied choices for raw/vegan/gluten free folks. However, have been disappointed on the last few occasions. The bagel was dry and I have given up ordering coffee here as they have got it wrong on 3 occasions. I asked for a large take away long black and was given a medium with the explanation that ‘there are ¾ shots in a large’…ummm…ok!

The Lion & Jaguar is one of those places that you’d love to call a second home; a friendly spot that you feel welcome to drop into anytime. My wife and I moved to Subiaco recently, and we’ve set out to explore the local area. Cafes, bars, supermarkets, markets, shops… ok, so we love shopping. The Lion & Jaguar attracted us right from the outset with their interesting menu. You know that someone has a passion for food and drink when they give you the option of A2 milk, soy, almond, almond and coconut, and who knows what other option for you coffee. We’ve only tested their food once, but the plan is to go back. I had their Hot Gonzales and my wife their Veg Gonzales. Both were fantastic, but I’m planning on trying some of their other options for the variety. Their smoothies are damn delicious too. I crave the Black Magic pretty well daily now. All the staff are incredibly friendly, and look like they’re happy to be there. They offer advice when appropriate, and also stop to make sure everything is as it should be. We’ll be dropping in many more times in the future, whether it’s to grab a smoothie, or sit and enjoy breakfast as the world wanders past.

One of the main reasons I wanted to try The Lion and Jaguar was the menu. It’s not your typical selection of breakfast dishes. Pack your passport when ordering, because there are so many«international» options to choose from. I was feeling very Swedish on this particular morning so I went with the Southern Sea($ 16.90) — wood smoked salmon, poached eggs, grilled asparagus and dill remoulade on rye sourdough. Food presentation was on point. The asparagus was crunchy and fresh, adding texture to a predominantly soft dish. The eggs were poached to perfection leaving me happy from first fork stab. Much goo. The smoked salmon was also very fresh and tasty as it should it be! What made the dish though was the dill remoulade. I’ve never tried anything like it. If you’re not a dill fan perhaps this isn’t the breakfast choice for you but I was very impressed by the accompaniment.

Tried this place one morning for take away coffee as the line was longer than usual at Café Café. The staff were very friendly but the coffee was scalding hot. Couldn’t carry it properly even 10 to 15 minutes later. Also took quite a long time to make given there were only two coffees in the queue. The food looked nice but don’t think I will go there again.

My sister discovered this place and took me. My first time I was still wearing my clothes from the night before but despite my gaudy outfit for the early Sunday morning the owner didn’t bat an eyelid and stopped by for chit chat whenever he passed our table. He and his wife are running the café and were both born for hospitality. The coffee is perfect and I have been twice now and the food is delicious. Great little spot for a yummy breakfast and a chat.

Coffees are WAY too small for the price. Saying that though, it was well made well. The milk is Jersey Cow from Harvey Fresh(whole sale only product) which is suppose to be more creamier and akin to the Bannister Downs product that many coffee places are moving to. I liked the decore but it was hard to pay $ 5 for a tiny coffee.

A café run by a Czech! It could be my sense of national pride, it could be the fact I spotted this place on the way to the station street markets also, but this new offering open since Monday might just become a new long term fixture in Subiaco. After a warm welcome and a friendly chat we were recommended to try the Southern Sea and the Hot Gonzales and to wash it down with a cappuccino and a clean start juice. There was no problems finding a seat and the food and drinks came out not long after. Everything was as good as it looked. They came by after our meal to ask how it was and saw us off with a smile. Plenty of promise here.
