Love! 5/5, waitstaff are funny and charming, and if they get an order wrong, they fix it quickly. Coffee itself is pretty nice, and the lasagna is so good! Same goes for the eclairs

You can say alot of things about Dome, but the one thing that holds true is that the Bacon & Egg Baguette is a Friday morning must do. Soft roll, bacony goodness and runny eggs. Consistently the saving grace heading into a Friday wind up.

Asked three times for an extra shot of coffee in one drink, and extra chocolate in another. The drinks came out without either. The waiters response was«she didn’t charge you for an extra shot». I’m thinking, so what it is never about the money, it’s about the extra shot we asked for 3 times. It’s the kind of place you buy something from and when you say thank you, they say ‘yeh’ instead of thanking you for buying something from them. Poor service — and this was in a quiet time. Otherwise the location is fantastic and they generally do a decent drink.

For a chain café, surprisingly well done. Plenty of room to sit, decent food at decent prices and attentive waitstaff. It’s not necessarily unique but warm and welcoming and a great place to take kids.

You can’t swing a cat in this city without hitting a Dome Café — they’re everywhere, and it seems like another one pops up every damn day! I usually wouldn’t touch a chain café with a barge poll, what with their half-filled cardboard-tasting sandwiches and their lacklustre cups of lukewarm tea, but I must admit, I do have a bit of a soft spot for this particular Dome Café. Located in the heart of Subi, with leafy trees lining the streets outside, it is a treat to sit outside here and watch all the happenings on Rokeby Road. And to my surprise, their food is actually quite good. It’s a great place to have a quick catch-up with a friend — share a bowl of their tasty tasty potato wedges or cool down with an iced tea or a lemon chill tangy ice — delicious! This Dome has a much more relaxed vibe than a lot of the other ‘grab a coffee on the rush to work’ branches. The food here is made to be enjoyed, not to be wolfed down while you’re parking your car at the office!
